Re: What are you reading tonight?

I have nothing against Prince Harry - In fact, I think the treatment he and his wife have received in the media is nothing short of diabolical. However, I give about as much of a shit about what he has to say about anything, as he does me. Same with his brother, or his Dad (whoever that is) Indeed....

Re: A Drake but no ducks. Home v Plymouth Sat 7 Jan 15-00.

We keep referring to that 25 goal striker that we need which makes our other striker signings in L1 underwhelming. Please enlighten me as to who they are and their value. Aaron Collins looks likely - £600k according to Transfermkt! :D  ' manager Barton valued him at £5 million for the upco...

Re: A Drake but no ducks. Home v Plymouth Sat 7 Jan 15-00.

Interesting that Evatt didn't revert to Jones and Santos, who could now play in the midweek cup game to regain sharpness – and maintain pressure on the incumbents. Never a bad thing. Evatt said in a post match interview that Santos has been with the B team, with whom it's easier for them to test wh...

Re: January 2023 Transfer Window

What's the "priority" for everyone now? Not my usual thing of "what might Evatt do?" I wonder when Evatt's going to address the goalkeeping situation, and his record in this department to date (with the notable exception of Trafford) is shocking. Is he even capable of addressing it? We've seen for ...

Re: A Drake but no ducks. Home v Plymouth Sat 7 Jan 15-00.

Top of the league. They've won last 4 fixtures against us and we've not beaten them since 1993. They had an ageing Peter Shilton in goal that day as their player manager. 3 years after he'd been shown to be too old for International football, yet still 2 years away from him appearing in goal for us...

It appears you've had a fair few Avatars in the past. I am still looking for the one you've mentioned.
Mate, I'm sure you have better things to do.

If your gizmo can rustle me up a new one that'd be lovely. Cheers.

Re: What are you reading tonight?

Getting difficult to avoid the sheer spate of "Harry says" bile aimed at his brother as every media link seems obsessed with it. I realised when I flicked on the TV this morning that every media outlet would be spending today poring over it. Being as I've spent most of today in the car I simply avo...

Re: Where are you going tonight?

Oh, and whilst you're on, we're off to see ' The Ocean at the End of the Lane ' tomorrow night. I'll let you know how it goes. What did you think? Regarding the whole fantasy and myth element of the storyline, that part was never really going to be my thing, but I knew that anyway - I lack both the...

Barry Fry as Director of Football
Oh, for our club to be under the steady footballing stewardship of a man who's poor managerial skills he tried to pass off as being the ill-doings of a Gypsy curse, to be combatted by taking a piss in the four corners of the pitch.

Everton 0 Brighton & Hove Albion 4 77 mins HT 0-1 Mitoma (14'minutes), Ferguson (51'minutes), March (54'minutes), Groß (57'minutes) Looks like someone might well be getting 'sacked in the morning'. Re: Oh Quelle Surprise! Barnsley (A) 15:00 Monday 02/01/23

Hang on, isn't this the same back three, Aimson especially, who were getting absolute pelters particularly in the 1st half vs Lincoln? I know you're only as good as your last game etc, but I distinctly recall the old "Aimless" nickname being rolled out again. It was chiefly Toal, until he got on th...

Re: Oh Quelle Surprise! Barnsley (A) 15:00 Monday 02/01/23

Do you really see him leaving a fit Santos out, mate? I'm not feeling the remotest possibility of such a thing... But conversely, what message does it send out if he pulls one of the three out who, as we know, are performing admirably well together, just because someone (Captain notwithstanding) el...

I may be reading too much into this, but in this year's BWFC Calendar, I note that Bakayoko features alongside the loanees and Dixon in the earlier months. :)

I keep meaning to check if Warne has ostracised any Derby players, for instance.
Ah, that's an easy one. It'll be anyone who isn't 6'2", built like a brick shithouse and can still sprint within Olympic qualifying times. :)

Re: Where are you going tonight?

If it helps I've seen him twice. Once at the London 02 for 'The Wall' which was simply magnificent. The last time was him alone in Hyde Park which was a selection of Floyd and Solo stuff. What should have been a celebration of some of the best music ever written (IMO) turned into a political rally ...
