boltonboris wrote:Or doesn't it count when she says "large barrier" instead of "wall"
It counts as 700miles of barrier but NOT as 2000miles of wall...

I know blokes can overestimate length sometimes, but...

Re: What are you watching tonight?

am a few episodes into season two of Narcos... I knew it was bad - but the sheer scale of the killing and bloodshed and violence around Escobar and the cartel was mindblowing... they reckon Escobar's men killed about 400 police officers every year... it was a bit harsh slaying all them prozzies eh!...

Re: Brexit or Britin

I'm not sure many on here were predicting "rat-shit" despite being told that's what we were saying. We still haven't left yet. 2017's prediction has been revised downwards. Until any bugger can tell us what out will look like, it's going to be difficult to understand the impact. Immigration is stil...

Re: The Politics Thread

Why does Hillary Clinton want to build a 2000 mile wall? Go on, why does Hilary Clinton want to build a 2,000 mile wall? she doesn't. I suspect boris is parroting Trump. Hilary voted for measures that included 700miles of fencing about 10yrs ago... apparently that's the same as a 2000mile wall...

Re: The Politics Thread

Hypothetically speaking.... what happened, if (a gigantic 'if', I know) Corbyn became PM and there was a massive Terror attack in the UK by Daesh / Al Qaeda, or whoever. Would he and Milne just say "what goes around, comes around"? Or would he pay it right back with double the force? I see... I gue...

Jezza, on the subject of peace and disarmament today put forward the following self-observation ".... I've spent my life opposing things ....". Yep. We know. I suspect that will continue for some time. I think that was a debate about trident... are you a trident fan, Bobo? is that how you'd like us...

Claytons months off surely? For me he would get a game in the next round of that ridiculous cup we're in. You can't coach goalscoring instinct. Or we can't anyway. Please don't build up Clayton as the 'great white hope'. Has he actually scored a goal for us in the league prior to his leisurely inju...

Excellent. It's just Jeremy doesn't agree with you. i'd be interested to hear your 3d solution to syria - or perhaps 4d or 5d? does it involve us bombing people? Bomb the baddies. Don't bomb the goodies. Simple. Bombing gets you as far as getting rid of ISIS. can you provide a list of all the group...

Yep. Coz wishing ISIS away is a great tactic. yep... cos that's exactly what Corbyn proposed, yeah, right... good luck with your bombing strategy. Fair point. Doesn't he propose "having a nice cup of tea and a chat with them ... y'know, as "friends" ? in much the same way that Thatcher's government...
