Yours will be up soon enough, Commie. Do not fret pet. We have to balance how our articles are put ya know?communistworkethic wrote:send it to Bench, Ratbert or MummywhycantIeatcrayons. They might put it up by Christmas.
Anyway - thanks for getting involved Quayley. Just pm your article to either myself, Ratbert or mummywhycantieatcrayons. We'll have a view and let you know when it will be put up on the main site.
Cheers.

It's been a bloody long while since this thread had any response and so I thought I'd 'pep' it up a bit.
So....how about it guys and gals, lads and lassies?
First and foremost, aside from our day-to-day existence providing stimulating (sometimes) debate, discussion and not a little banter within the hallowed-virtual-walls of these forums, we also have a very expressive front page.
For those of you who rarely visit it (click Home on the banner), this is TW's bread and butter. Many of you will have noticed that Bolton Wanderers no longer has a real paper-based fanzine any longer. This old and tired method of communication between Bolton fans died out long ago at the same time as the dinosaurs and big pieces of Monster Munch. They have, in no small part, been replaced by the wonder of the t'internet.
It's more user friendly, appeals to a much wider audience, is relatively inexpensive (at least to you readers out there coz it's free) and doesn't take as long to put together and prepare - and we don't have to be dictated to by printer deadlines.
That's the up-side.
Ther is a down-side, however. We need a relentless amount of material (as opposed to a 3-monthly produced fanzine) in order to keep the site looking up-to-date and fresh. This is where WE NEED YOU!
If you ever have the urge to put together an article, a match preview or report - then please feel free!!! The-Wanderer welcomes contributions on any subject – so get finger to keyboard and send us stuff. Infamy and absolutely no fortune await....
There is a whole mass of stuff on the forums which could serve as inspiration for just such an article:
Will Anelka stay or go?
What is the future of our midfield?
Where do you want to go in Europe?
Who would be YOUR Bolton Player of the Year?
WHo SHOULDN'T be Bolton Player of the Year?
Just how hot are those darned pies?
Who is your all time favourite player and why should we remember them?
So go on and write summat.....we need you!

To briefly add to what Bench has said and issue a challenge:

I'm sure loads of you can write something better than this load of old nonsense that some random internet madman spouted a couple of years ago.

Hmmm. Perhaps these days we should set the bar just a tad higher.CrazyHorse wrote:To briefly add to what Bench has said and issue a challenge:
