hello all.
Hello every one, just joined up on here, after the site was recommened to me by several other users.
I'm a veteran of the old 606(when it was good!) But sadly their mods could not stand the pace, and they have ballsed it up big time.
My dear departed Grandad first took me to Burnden in 1963,which was bloody bad timing, because that year we just avoided relegation.(We finished18th.....One place above the scum!!!!)
Next season, sure e'nuff, down we went,Grandad took it badly and blamed me!!!!!!! Said I was a bloody jinx, which scared me for life, and I still believe to this day.
Anyway it was the start of a lifelong love affair, when I would go whenever I was not playing myself.
The love affair reached it's peak in1978 when Ian Greaves,(God,I loved that man,) led us back to Division One,with what was my favorite ever Bowten team.
Two years later,I fell out with the club, big time after they sacked Ian. I was devastated,I could not believe they had done it.To this day,I still blame Neil McNab,the little shit.
I did not go to many games during the 1980's ,but was there at Wrexham, when we where promoted out of division 4.
I bought my first ever season ticket in 1990,and have held one ever since............Like the rest of us,I cannot believe just how much we have progressed under Sam....
C'MON WHITES, ANOTHER EURO TOUR NEXT SEASON PLEASE!!!

Little postscipt to my intro.
I said that I went to Wrexham,and I did,but I did'nt mean to!
I lived just off Chorley Old Road at the time, and my ex wife asked me to go to the paper shop to get her some fags and some milk.
As I got to the end of the street,a car with 3 lads in pipped it's horn and pulled up alongside me.
It was my cousin and two of his mates and they where on their way to Wrexham........
"Are you comin'?" sez cuz,
"Nar," sez I,"Got to get the wife some fags."
"C'mon you soft c**t,get in,we will be back by seven."
AND I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She never spoke to me for a month!!!!!!!!!!! I do'nt think our marriage ever recovered, but I became a legend in "Arkwrights",my local at the time.
Happy days.

My good stuff - my only stuff I think Monty means!Montreal Wanderer wrote:Glad to have you aboard (Do you do the website Sluffy gets his best stuff from?),
Hello and welcome Manny Road.
If you did not know already - there is a site named after you - where I find a great deal of Bolton info on - which I use to bore to tears the poor members of TW with!
If you had not seen it before I have posted the link below.
I too am an ex-606er.
I think you will find this site a little bit busier than bb!

Yes must admit, this site is much busier than "Bolton Banter", it's a pity the two sites cannot join up as one,(you see,I'm in love with,"BWFC Lulu",but I cannot bring myself to tell her!
Anyway, enjoyed my first day on here, all my "stuff" is my own,and that nice person who appears in"The Odserver" under my name has copied me. But you would have to go back on "606" Oct 2005 to prove it.
In the imortal words of Peter Kay.....................G'NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps years of therapy will cure you.
As for joining the two sites, it was proposed at one time (I was a BBer then) but nothing came of it. It's probably pretty hard for the two site admins to agree over turf. Anyway, they seem happy enough and so are we. Many members post in both places (Sluffy, Warthog, SKD, etc.). Live and let live.
