Welcome Me!

Post by KeeeeeeeBaaaaaaab » Fri Jun 27, 2008 8:40 pm

Hi,

Forwarded onto here from the effectively defunct Yahoo Group, and really want a place to catch up with the views of the fans of my beloved club. No doubt I'll get to recognise most of the old Yahoo lot pretty quickly. Already know DSB's true identity.

First match I went to was a 2-2 draw with Rotherham, back in '83. Emlyn Hughes was manager of Rotherham then.

Last match - and I apologise about this - was our victory against Zenit in the UEFA. Sing When We're Swimming, and all that....

I can't get to matches nowadays, as I work most weekends and evenings throughout the season. I'm a coach for a semi pro team based down South, so whenever we play, err...."we" play more often than not. There's work, time, distance and family reasons for me not being there. Sucks.

Still, I'm here, so it might get a bit better. Cheers.

Welcome Kebab. Knowing DSB's true identity may be a handicap that few of us would like to have but I'm sure you will fit right in.

Whilst your user name has brought on a bit of the burp mode, welcome aboard. You are excused.

Living down south attracts little attention (if you still follow the team of fools) as even I have 'got away with it' for a few years.

Sit down, get yourself organised and post away. There is only one rule on the back of my door - which reads something like "No textspeak, this is a ladies club which accepts gentlemen."

Welcome buddy.

Out of interest, does anyone else remember the song after which our new friend is named?

You mean he's not named after meat on a sword?

Well, it's not by Hawkwind, I know that...
Oh yes, hello Keeebaaaab (apologies if there are an incorrect number of "e"s and "a"s. But if you'd have called yourself after a sensible song, like, for example, Sonic Attack, there wouldn't be this problem.)

Well, I tried various spellings on google but only came up with a myspace entry that appears to be from a geriatric lonely heart type in the Northwest. Who could it be?
Headline: "Hello? I want Kebab... Chicken Kebab?... KEEBAAAB!! "
Orientation: Straight
Here For: Friends
Gender: Male
Age: 86
Location: Northwest, UK
