It's about time!

Post by pagey_BWFC » Sat Jan 31, 2009 10:30 am

Hey guys
Another of the ever increasing Aussie based Bolton supporters here!
I've been reading and checking up on this site every day for well over a year now and thought it was about time
i officially joined up.
Haven't been supporting the trotters for as long as alot of you guys here but its steadily approaching a decade now.
The only two mates i really talk football to are a Roma fan and a Liverpool fan at the moment and i have finally
come to the conclusion it will be better for my health to discuss my unhealthy obsession with some likeminded
individuals! :P
Ill be up eagerly awaiting the 2am kick off here and hopefully i can go to sleep tonight a happy man!

Cheers

Pagey.

Welcome, Pagey mate. Whereabouts are you Down Under? I understand we have correspondents dotted all over that big barren red blob you call home!

Why Bolton? Are you an exiled Lancastrian, or the offspring of one, or did you fall in love from afar?

DSB

Hey DSB im from Sydney, and over the last year of reading this site ive been surprised that there actually are a few Bolton supporters in Aus because in my time i certainly haven't run into any!

Its funny really, because im an aussie through and through (all the way back to the convicts haha), didn't play football growing up (played rugby league and union which i still play now) and have no real ties to England, but i believe my support stemmed from being such a sport fanatic that i couldn't help but follow english football. As i played for a rugby league team way back when that were nicknamed the Wanderers i just started following Bolton.

From those odd beginnings i've become such a big supporter that i follow them a hell of alot more then any Rugby league, union and most national teams and i wouldn't have it any other way! :)

That's a great little story about how you came to support BWFC.

Welcome to the site, and get stuck in. Remember when talking to the Liverpool fan to keep reminding him that Benitez is a prick.
