In the late Eighties, during my Roister Doister episodes in Bolton Town Centre, I regularly had to pour my friend into a minicab and write his address down for the driver as he tended to speak gibberish after 10 O'Clock. Is that the same?

Yeah - I've been known to write the address of where I'm staying on my hand (in my yoof) for that very purpose. One of the more interesting ones was when my mates house got "raided" by the plod, as he'd given me the address and a key, but not told me he'd set the alarms...T'was in the days before mobile phones so I just crashed on the couch. Only to be awoken a short while later by the door being smashed in....
