hmmm... experience suggests otherwise! I am short-hand for "pointing out grammar/spelling errors in those who point out grammar/spelling errors" (which is a long title, so needs short-hand!) YOU (on the other hand) are go-to guy for simple, unprovoked pedantry! You should put it on your C.V.

It's just possible they might be trying to help him. Sometimes he asks for an explanation and it is given. While I can't be bothered to defend myself if that is the view, I don't think Dujon for example can be accused of pedantry.
