Afternoon eveyone
Just joined this site.
Been supporting the Wanderers in varying degrees from going home and away to hardling getting to a game for nearly 40 years now. God that's a depressing thought.
Sampled several sites and mainly tried to avoid that rather depressing Fanz chap but finally gave up and plumped for this site due to the intelligence and wit demonstrated by the contributors(?)
Will try and maintain the standard.

Welcome, Trott. It's been forty years since I was able to go to a game - at least in Derbyshire you can fix that absence. Poor fanz! I find his dour pessimism a nice counter-point to some of the unrealistic giddy optimism displayed by others. Somewhere in between lies the truth, but it takes all sorts... Just be yourself and have fun.

G'day, Trotts (I hope that's not a problem and is just a name),
Welcome aboard the good ship Lollypop, though it's not always all sweet and fulfilling.
Don't be embarrassed by your short term following of the beloved BWFC as there's a few of us on here who are also 'Johnny-come-latelies' and who are proud of the fact.
So: when did you get this terrible disease (take your pick as to which one); mine was a game against Wolves in the late forties early fifties at Burnden. It scarred me for life (I'll never forgive my great-uncle Joe for that outing).
