The US of A.

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Thought they were meant to be good. :?

Such a disaster that a great, proud footballing nation such as the USA going out of an illustrious tournament with no wins.

Not a shining moment for us but I would suggest you note that, as we are invited guests, clubs aren't compelled to release players for Copa America duty. Even if we won the thing it wouldn't do anything for us as we can't use it to enter the Confederations Cup. As a result of these factors we put our effort into the Gold Cup, because winning that gave us the chance to tune up in South Africa before the World Cup 2010. It's a matter of priorities and I understand why we basically took the B-team, but it's disappointing to be sure.

Not really. It's certainly more prestigious than the Gold Cup due to the teams involved. We just don't have much of an incentive to chase it.
