I would too if I lived in North Wales.bobo the clown wrote:I despair !Batman wrote:hahaha nice one, you had me going for a minute there.LeeRoyBrown wrote:I'd still have him in our team over Anelka.
But my point is I believe he'd fit into our team far better than Anelka has done. There is no doubt that Anelka is a better player but as far as the team goes I think Andy Johnson would have improved Bolton more as a team than Anelka has.

Oh good grief. And yet Anelka has still managed to score more than AJ and that's without taking penaltiesLeeRoyBrown wrote:Anelka isn't a 4-5-1 player. He needs support.
AJ is more use to the lone role - he works much harder for the team. Last season especially Anelka didn't receive the service he needs.

There is a difference between someone with limited skill running around like a headless chicken, and someone with the skill and abilty to use the ball, find space, create his own goals etc, without it looking like he's having to break his neck to do so.LeeRoyBrown wrote:Anelka isn't a 4-5-1 player. FFs, stop now while you still can!LeeRoyBrown wrote:They both score goals. Anelka has 4 for us, yet we're bottom. AJ hasn't scored yet and they're 7th.
Are you suggesting that Everton are 7th because of Johnson? And we are bottom because Anelka isn't as good as him? Nothing to do with the likes of Nolan and Cid, or dodgy tactics and substitutions. No, it's because Anelka isn't working hard enough.
Give me strength!

Possibly. But I believe that what you call "running around like a headless chicken" would suit us much more than the qualities that Anelka has at his disposal. We don't have the players to take advantage of Anelka.Soldier_Of_The_White_Army wrote:There is a difference between someone with limited skill running around like a headless chicken, and someone with the skill and abilty to use the ball, find space, create his own goals etc, without it looking like he's having to break his neck to do so.LeeRoyBrown wrote:Anelka isn't a 4-5-1 player. My point was that Anelka getting 4 for us was irrelevant in terms of the teams success.Soldier_Of_The_White_Army wrote:FFs, stop now while you still can!LeeRoyBrown wrote:They both score goals. Anelka has 4 for us, yet we're bottom. AJ hasn't scored yet and they're 7th.
