MADNESS!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Its the worst idea since mr worst idea of worstville had the worst idea he'd ever had.

In short, its a disgrace.

Whether we fill our stadium or not is irrelevant.

Its this sort of nonsense that makes me

There are so many problems with it, I don't know where to start!

I'm stunned with dispair.

Hopefully fans would vote with their feet if anything like this came in.

So the 'top five' teams are seeded, meaning that they are likely to get three points from the matches, while the lower teams are more likely to lose. Sounds fair enough to me!

This is complete bollocks. It infuriates me so much to see this happening.

Bolton vs Reading in Chechnya, a guaranteed sell out.

so let me get this straight you play 19 teams home and away, then at random play some other team once and in an arbitrary country? And the top 5 avoid each other and in doing so presumably also avoid changing their end of season positions? This is also the league that wanted to reduce the number of teams and therefore games not so long ago

And when would these be played? End of the season - adding a fixture and a trip on to an already long season? Pre-season so as to render them little more than friendlies or at any point in teh seaon so as to make them even more inequitable with some teams having to travel to Thailand say, while others nip over to France?

What difference does it make to make these league games? If they want games in other countries, do a summer cup comp each year and take it to a different country each time - four groups of 5 - 4 games each over 4 days , top 2 go through from each to a knockout, 45 minute games, tournament over 9 days max.

GOVERNMENT ADVICE FOR TRAVELLING FANS

Due to the Premier League's new initiative in playing some matches in exotic faraway locations, the British Government issues the following guidelines to would-be travellers:

-Be aware that local habits and customs may be different to what you are used to.
-Carry a phrase book at all times to help with language difficulties.
-Don't go alone, travel in a group.
-Inform friends and relatives of your travel plans before you set off.
-Avoid the local food, and drink only bottled water.
-Keep your hand on your wallet, carry only small amounts of cash.
-Avoid eye-contact with the locals at all times.

This advice particularly applies to all fans wishing to attend matches at Ewood Park.

The Premierleague boss fella has just been interviewed, and he said that he felt that fans would be ok with it because the Premierleague could've done something crazier.

The lack of logic in every part of this plan has been nothing short of stunning.

Are you going to put this in your manifesto?

what we have is an english league that is dominated by money that is coming from outside of england. tv money is coming from asia, america, scandinavia etc. this is aimed at increasing the revenue that comes from these areas which can only be a good thing.

what if they said that the money generated from growing the interest in the EPL would be enough to reduce ticket prices by £5 a game? would that make you happy?

if clubs like us could fill their ground and run the business from bolton alone then i'm sure it could. but face facts, without those foreigners following our league, and our team and our players we wouldn't be able to afford half of our squad.

it's the way the game has gone. we've had the discussion elsewhere is the game indeed a game or now an entertainment business. it's become an entertainment business and one that has to adapt. if you are presented with an opportunity that could significantly increase revenue from that source then the league and clubs have to look at it seriously

How about we all make do without the extra revenue and not pass the extra revenue to the already ridiculously paid players. Ultimately any extra revenue goes to players and agents. For me this is just another nail in the coffin of what we used to know as football

that would seem to be a common sense approach to it but i'm yet to find an individual or business happy to accept less money

I don't disagree, I just don't want football to be a business in the sense it is becoming. That said its too far down the road and for me ruined already
