Don't Be So Bloody Soft

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Don't Be So Bloody Soft

Wigan fans getting very irate that a team being successful in a different sport gets credit.

I've never known anyone to play the sport card before when it comes to "discrimination".

They should put another sign underneath saying "Also Home to a side that got beat by eight goals in a season. Twice."

'Home of Premiership football'

Please.

When Athletic actually win anything in what is and always has been an RL town, then they'll have a reason to shout.

Shit, the first sniff of rugby success for a decade and you can't get away from it. Should change the sign to something along the lines of

'Welcome to Wigan, home of football mediocrity and rugby underachievement'

Would sum it all up far better.

They could put the sign back up about it being the home of Premier League football, but they'd only have to take it back down again in 6 or 7 months time.

How pathetic can they get! We don't have a sign saying "Welcome To Bolton, Home of Premier League Football" or Blackburn don't have one saying "Welcome to Blackburn....." or "Welcome To Blackpool...."etc

What did they want the sign to say Home To The Super League champions 2010 Oh Sh** We nearly Forgot And England's 14th Best Football Team"

"Driving through the town as you leave the motorway, you wouldn't have even known Premier League football exists here."

Being in the stadium on matchday, you still wouldnt know Premier League football exists there
