Where do you (or should you) draw the line on terrace songs?

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I don't join in the shit ones, like the ones started by that Turkey prick at our away games.
So you think chanting songs about the Munich air disaster is fair game?

What about the Leeds fans who were killed? What about when Lofthouse dies?
I'm with EL.

It's football - sticks and stones - you get my drift.

Even that's not really clear cut though. Does it, for example, preclude the "two World Wars and one World Cup" chant? Does that mean it's OK to call Adebayor's mother a whore, but not OK to say his dad washes elephants? I don't really have answers to these questions so I think it's best to judge the chants individually rather than set up some rules which will just cause more confusion.

Stop chanting then, ban it, just machine gun the b*ggers when they turn out.

personally I think unison is over-rated - it's about time we upped our game and introduced 4-part harmony to the terraces...

This topic has been broached before..

I proved catagorically that some football chants are beyond decency

In deference to Zulu and tango ( and to general sensibility) i will not repost my submission. It was to the tune of lord of the dance , to do with Jeremey Alliadiere and certain incestuous , peado sex acts. ( which i do not now infer he actually carried out)

If you're mocking the Juventus fans who died at Heysel, then I would agree that it would be in equally poor taste. Showing disdain for the people who murdered them isn't really the same thing as mocking people who died in a plan crash though.
You have no understanding of the goading element, is all!
