And apparently, his first game back from suspension (if selected) would be United away.
Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
Will only be 4 league games presuming they get past Oldham
All the written statements and everything Dalglish is saying are embarassing.
Dalglsih: "T-shirts were a fabulous statement to make" when he's going round derogatorily calling people negro. OK then.

You can't say "we disagree, but we aren't going to complain .... but we know stuff you don't, so we're right .... just not going to explain how".Verbal wrote:They really should shut up. This is just embarrassing

Well, you can if you're Scouse I suppose.
The tee-shirt protest, supported club-wide, should have been challenged also.
Now, where shall I leave these flowers ?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Those T-shirts were an absolute disgrace, trying to make light of a potentially serious allegation. I don't think Liverpool realise how lucky and well liked they are in the corridoors of power, because they should have had the book thrown at them for that.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Agreed, they have brought their club into disrepute by their actions.
IMO they should be fined a lot of points for their t-shirts, and ridiculous statements they have published that is questioning the authority of the game in a very public and very distasteful way over something that is very serious indeed.

A smaller club would be facing a points penalty

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
surprised sarcastic bootleg t-shirts havent come out in response.
Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
It's a joke statement. First of all the entire FA charge system is based on the basis of probabilities, so of course, if he was 'probably' guilty, he was guilty. Added to the fact he admitted using racist language but saying he meant it as a way of diffusing the situation (genius). Then the whole we are letting it slide for the good of the game shit, plus the wank t-shirts. I don't think it would ever be a question of points deducted (if West Ham got away with it, they can't ever deduct a Premier League team points again!) but we'd have got a huge fine and a public bollocking. Pathetic.

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
Slightly off-topic, but it reminds me of when Kevin Davies had a disagreement with Evra on the pitch, and Evra asked a similar question to the one he asked Suarez: "Why did you do that".
Kevin Davies's reply was perfect.
"Because I don't like you."

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
So will there be a minutes silence and black arm bands for their next home game
Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
Reports of racist chanting from some Liverpool fans towards an Oldham player tonight
2140: Oldham midfielder Tom Adeyemi takes a throw-in and then turns to confront a spectator in the front few rows at Anfield. He is seriously unhappy here with something that was said to him and looks close to tears. The game is stopped for a few minutes and Steven Gerrard has a word with Adeyemi. Play is back under way now but we may hear more about that one.

Mirror
Eye witnesses saw two fans wearing Luis Suarez t-shirts, and heard one of them clearly shout "You f***ing black b***ard".
