Good signing.
Interestingly... Appleton was told by Venky's when he was initially approached in pretty much these words: "Get the team promoted and you're a millionaire."
In think he will.
Thing I still can't get past with Blackburn is when they sacked Kean they were 3rd!

Are we going to suffer the backlash on Tuesday though?
Re: Ambitious Blackburn
Don't even attempt to think that way. I hope Bolton get a reputation for kicking a team when they're down. A win on Tuesday would probably send Blackburn fans over the edge.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Are we going to suffer the backlash on Tuesday though?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Lost against some other shithouse team again tonight.

Heard they conceded in the very last seconds as well...mrkint wrote:Lost against some other shithouse team again tonight.
At least Peterborough had the respect to put their goals past them with enough time left for some reply...

Saw a lot of crap on Twitter from tabloid hacks last night delighting in the fact that Wembley won't be hosted 2 poorly supported teams from the north..
Ignoring the fact that both clubs' average attendances eclipse Millwall's and also the fact that millwall took a mere 500 to an FA Cup quarter final at £15 a ticket.

They took 500 to a wednesday night match a couple of hundred miles away with about 3 days notice, to be fair. Just saying.boltonboris wrote:Saw a lot of crap on Twitter from tabloid hacks last night delighting in the fact that Wembley won't be hosted 2 poorly supported teams from the north..

Re: Ambitious Blackburn
One of the biggest nights in their recent history.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's anything bad.. I'm not one for banging on about attendances, but it's the irony that's lost on the media.
If it was Blackburn taking 500 there, they'd be getting hammered for it
