Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ever

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Again.
He will be saying they are going to win the league again come August.
Why shouldn't he believe we can? We were at the top of it for longer then anyone else last season. I wouldn't want a manager in charge who doesn't believe in his team, even when everyone else doubts.

I'll just call Martinez up and ask him if he thinks Everton will win the league next season. Every season you start well then in the new year it goes wrong and you just about finish 4th.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

I watched it. :)

Just as Arsenal's goalie was doing her best to disprove my theory on women goalkeepers, Everton's goalie was proving it amply. Dear me.

It really does pretty much ruin the womens game for me when you see some of the goals that go in. I don't know if they just need to have slightly smaller goals or something?

Smaller goals and smaller pitch for sure. 8 by 8 nets mean you realistically a keeper has to be pushing 6ft. This then narrows the number of women down spectacularly and so affects the quality.

Otherwise plenty will never be interested for the reasons you mention. No point watching a tense 0-0 if it's going to be decided by a shanked 35 yarder that drifts in over the keeper.

I absolutely agree ... though history will tell you that keepers in proper football, until the 1980's, were not always all that tall.

Our own Eddie Hokinson kept goal for us for over 500 games in 17 seasons, as well as for England, was 5' 10". Gordon Banks was 6' 1", so I'm not accused of filtering, but Peter Bonetti was 5 11".

You're right, height helps, but athleticism that can counter that as well.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Don't disagree. Perhaps 'within a few inches of six foot' would be better. Hopkinson then was the same height as an average man today, whereas an average woman at 5'4" would clearly struggle no matter how athletic.

I don't see any reason whatsoever why women should play on a smaller pitch but I wouldn't be totally against smaller goals. We are on average quite a bit smaller then your average man. Perhaps they should be more proportional.

Who scheduled it for Sunday tea time - Just who the fook was doing the cooking

And 2, saw this little lady and thought of David, ex Arsenal keeper
