Re: Panamanian footballer kicks an owl
Sounds more like a name for a Native American than a Panamanian footballer...

NEWSFLASH!!
The bindippers have announced a vigil - and possibly a petition and day of action.
May the owl now find eternal rest, safe in the arms of Baby Jesus.

Well, my most odd pitch I ever played o was in Dewsbury where the usual rectangular effort, with 4 right angle corners was replaced by one with 3 right angles and a big oak tree about a yard into the pitch. OK, just, I suppose ... except there was a goat tethered to the tree & it took an inordinate interest in anyone who came near it.$huttgun wrote:Why was a real living mascot lying on the pitch? When i was told about this i presumed it was by the dugouts on a little perch.
i'm sorry I'm not having it that no one has never kicked any living thing off a pitch they were playing on??
Rat? Frog? Gypsy?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If memory serves you had rather an odd pitch at Thornleigh at one time. Overhit a corner a bit from one side and it finished up three fields away.bobo the clown wrote: Well, my most odd pitch I ever played o was in Dewsbury where the usual rectangular effort, with 4 right angle corners was replaced by one with 3 right angles and a big oak tree about a yard into the pitch.
