Ambitious Blackburn

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Now they're after Raul. Which is almost dull after the Ronaldinho/Beckham/Cruyff silliness.

Rovers did not look good today, but a nice run and assist from the Canadian/West Indian/English player, Junior Hoilett.

Oh no!

:scared:
Kean also confirmed he is close to signing George John, 24, from the Major League Soccer side FC Dallas. Rovers are set to pay a fee for John of around £1.2m to the MLS, who hold the player's contract.

To avoid the necessity of obtaining a work permit, John, who holds dual citizenship as his grandparents were born in Greece, has travelled to Athens to collect a passport.

"We've been tracking him through a scout based in the USA, we have had a number of good reports, and I've seen him myself on a number of occasions," said Kean.

This is all getting very complicated. A player from a town in America' where they all wear big hats and snakeskin boots, is coming to play football for a club in England owned by Indian chicken magnates and with a manager who claims he's been fed Mickey Finns and all this is happening in Blackburn? :o

Hang on though.

Who'd heard of Stuart Holden before he signed for us? Who'd have guessed his subsequent impact?

Lets be careful before we start crowing.

Emerton's trying to get out of his contract so he can play for Sydney FC. Rodents, insufficiently buoyant vessel etc.

Was merely a chance to poke a stick at Blackburn, given they wanted Raul etc. this summer

Raul and a whole host of other 'top' name stars, none of which had any desire to join the six fingers.
