That's a fair old commute to tell a bloke that he isn't getting sacked.Annoyed Grunt wrote:“@SkySportsNews: BREAKING NEWS: Cardiff statement says Malky Mackay remains in charge for the foreseeable future. More right now #SSN”

Re: Cardiff Dragons!
I mean, let's face it, Mr Malky could have just sucked up three million quid for doing feck all. And Tan could have gone ahead with the biggest dickhead decision in 2013. But somehow both pulled back from dickhead-dom.
I congratulate them both.

Re: Cardiff Dragons!
I'd put those congratulations on hold just for now. Have you seen the caveats to that statement? Something along the lines of he'll be meeting with Tan and if discussions don't go well they'll get the best manager to take them forward.
I suspect he wants Mackay to grovel and if not he'll take pleasure in sacking him. I wouldn't offer Tan the steam off my piss, let alone my congratulations.

I'm just saying that for now reason prevails. I'm not saying reason will prevail tomorrow or even in the next hour. Just, for now.LeverEnd wrote:I'd put those congratulations on hold just for now. congratulate, as in 'to wish someone good luck'. In this case, to wish good luck with a potential rapproachment. That's all.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Congratulate both?Lost Leopard Spot wrote:I mean, let's face it, Mr Malky could have just sucked up three million quid for doing feck all. Personally, and this is just me, I'd walk in his office and allow him to say anything he f*cking wanted, indeed, I'd probably throw in a few little antagonisms to entice him to sack me. Horrible working under those conditions, he might aswell enjoy the money and the positive press coverage that will inevitably follow.

It's Christmas... I was just trying on this spirit of goodwill to all men sort of malarkey. I knew deep down I shouldn't have bothered.Lord Kangana wrote:Personally, and this is just me, I'd walk in his office and allow him to say anything he f*cking wanted, indeed, I'd probably throw in a few little antagonisms to entice him to sack me. I reckon all this antagonism is a direct result of one of the two protagonists not growing his moustache properly and therefore not looking suitably inscrutable.

I give as much of a shite about this as the Cardiff fans would if it were us.

Come now Hoss, surely you believe in Gaia? Dougie might be in the frame if a vacancy comes up. This Tan bloke strikes me as the kind of guy who could easily understand and appreciate the great work he's doing here.
See, better now?

Exactly.
Gets flirted with a bag full of cash, loads of sympathy and his reputation still intact.

Probably not as good as yer actual sacking, but I reckon he'd have a fair chance at constructive dismissal anyhow.Bruce Rioja wrote:Just seen his interview and couldn't help thinking exactly the same, Boris.boltonboris wrote:He's actually trying to get himself sacked now!

Oh, exactly. All he has to do is produce the email from Charlie Chan in court, no?Worthy4England wrote:Probably not as good as yer actual sacking, but I reckon he'd have a fair chance at constructive dismissal anyhow.Bruce Rioja wrote:Just seen his interview and couldn't help thinking exactly the same, Boris.boltonboris wrote:He's actually trying to get himself sacked now!

Re: Cardiff Dragons!
More than a fair chance ... though if Tan can show misdemeanours and claim Gross Misconduct or Inept Capability he can defend his actions.Worthy4England wrote:Probably not as good as yer actual sacking, but I reckon he'd have a fair chance at constructive dismissal anyhow.Bruce Rioja wrote:Just seen his interview and couldn't help thinking exactly the same, Boris.boltonboris wrote:He's actually trying to get himself sacked now!
Tan clearly thinks this. Having now given him breathing space he's effectively accepted that he can live with that ... which Is odd.
He'll get his years pay anyway when they do get rid, which they will.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Cardiff Dragons!
The fact that the email has been leaked (obviously by Mackay's reps) suggests to me, that he wants out and used it as a way of engineering it with the maximum amount of exposure and financial gain. Yesterday's "sudden press-conference" where Mackay criticises Tan for not meeting him (more than once) in order to embarrass him publicly now suggests he's going out of his way to get himself flirted
