Re: Euro Championships 2016
Glenn Hoddle is already doing my head in. Describing a forearm smash across the face of a Romanian lad as 'just Giroud jumping higher'.
Possibly the Romanian is paying for mistakes in a past life eh Glenn?
Also based on tonight if I had a large transfer fee to spend on a French midfielder it wouldn't be Pogba I'd buy...

Re: Euro Championships 2016
I think tonight was typical of how it's going to be; all high energy and commitment. There are no real underdogs the way there used to be and levels have improved greatly. France were just a wee bit lucky to get the win tonight and I'm a bit worried that the reffing standards ( all things being equal, which they never are) will favour the physical over the skilled to even games up. As for us, unless we play every game with that same energy and commitment, we might be on rather a short holiday : Either the champagne of the Paris Shangri-La, or the lunch pack of Notre Dame. Choice is ours.

Not a lot for us to worry about from either of these two. Two teams based on defence who can't defend!

Have always disliked Skrtel. He's the modern day incarnation of Souness's thugs.LeverEnd wrote:That idiot behind the goal should've seen the Skrtel elbow. Ridiculous.TANGODANCER wrote:Specsavers appointment for the Wales, Slovakia ref. Crazy stuff going on.

Wouldn't surprise me if we struggled against Wales. They worked incredibly hard and it only takes a bi of Bale magic.....Prufrock wrote:Not a lot for us to worry about from either of these two. Two teams based on defence who can't defend!

Miranda Hart would probably have saved it. Bad keeping. It was a decent free kick but shouldn't have been so easy.thebish wrote:
