Euro Championships 2016

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

And what's worse is Alli looks lost. Move Rooney forwards for me. Alli off for Rashford or Vardy.

I could see that being sorta workable...

I said he looked like him for United (which he has). England...not so much...
I don't watch United much, but thought they still played him further forwards. :-)

His range of passing.just doesn't seem to be anywhere near Scholes level, to me.

Like Scholes though he's often been found wanting at international level. Rooney hasn't had a good tournament since Portugal 04.

We're still incredibly pedestrian but can go sideways better than anyone . Reminiscent of Freedmans sides

Rooney is dreadful tonight.

Why we persist with the slow pedestrian sideways build up I will never know.

Have you developed standards now you're in Brazil then?

We haven't learned anything from the Slovakia game. Why are we still trying to go through the middle?

Could see this in the friendlies. We didn't have a set side of system. It has been total winging it game by game. You don't prepare for a tournament like this.

Roy is shite. It was very evident from the outset. The players aren't anywhere near as good as they think. But they're better than this.

We can't even do the basics. Players paid a fortune who can't deliver a reasonable pass or cross time and time again. Bunch of chokers

Now it's Rashford on corners...shambolic.

Well, that was pathetic.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I don't know if I'd quite go that far, we looked very good in qualifiers and in most of the friendlies but his tactics, poor selections, lack of adaptability and plan B or even C for his teams in the finals are evident. Said it after the World Cup, and in the group stages regardless of how far we went - he needs to go. We need someone to develop a fairly young and promising squad.
Said it in the friendlies. You prepare the team you want to play. He just went through a variety of systems and selections.

Worst English manager we've ever had. By a mile. Clueless. Laughable.

How would anybody be motivated by that creature?

Get him out.

Also Rooney should never play for England again. Nor half a dozen of those players.

Pay Klinnsmann whatever he wants. Whatever he wants.

You couldn't even say we were unlucky. Despite his cock up, Hart made two great saves...They had more shots on target than us.

We are very transparent. Teams know that we have now width so they just have to pack the middle and try to hit us on the break, and we have no answer to it.

Well done Iceland, played an absolute blinder, reminded me of us away at Arsenal undr Sam.

As for England, well thats what you get for abandoning a decent pass-and-move game for the tried and proved to be a failure same old shite. Pity, thought we were moving in the right direction.
