Agree with the Roy bit...Prufrock wrote:Really good chance for Alli headed wide with Kane almost knocking in. From sterling beating his man and getting a good cross in.
Sterling beats three, then a glorious back heel to rose who but a belting ball into the box that no-one gambled on.
Won the free kick Kane flashed across that could have gone anywhere.
He was fine. Offered more than lallana who was fine too. We created plenty, Kane flat. Still having got 1 up we sat back and let a lumbering set of cloggers chuck balls into the box.
Poor decisions from Roy.
Sterling was poor though. The setup for Rose was nice but generally he makes the wrong decisions. Isolated one on one with space behind he cuts in. Tight with no space he tries to go on the outside. Often he literally just runs straight into the defender or just fires the ball straight at said defender.
Ultimately I think having two players in that three who throughout their careers aren't troubling the scorers all that much is possibly not going to work. Lallana last night wasted two good chances that I'm sure a Sturridge or Vardy would have scored one of...

But tellingly not France. Given much of the trouble has apparently concerned French fans....Bruce Rioja wrote:UEFA have just threatened to kick both us and Russia out if our respective dickheads don't desist.

... & they have the next World Cup thanks to the bent fckrs in charge of handing it out.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Anyhow, I want to know if UEFA's reported threat to kick Russia and us out of the Euros is just scaremongering, and which side is claiming it?

Goes without saying .... which is probably why you didn't say it.

Germans not having all their own way with the Ukraine. Leading 1-0 and putting on a passing masterclass, but incredibly Neur has had to make two pretty impressive saves and Boeteng's reaction save was truly amazing. Not over yet by any means.

Bit of Euro 96 symmetry here. Opening game a 1-1 draw. Next game against a home nation...
Hope the result and performance against Wales have the same galvanising effect the Scotland game did.

Agree with this. The standard of punditry is shocking. Dixon saying you "can look at any goal and say how it could be stopped". Aye Lee you can, and that is what you're being paid to do.....
Love the way Milner selling himself was brushed off as "one of those things".
It is very English to accept mediocrity and brave failure rather striving and demanding more.

Re: Euro Championships 2016
Gee, what a perfect world you live in mate. Football's a sport and a game of chance. If it worked to strict guidelines why bother competing? England (us) are just another team who go out and do their best, try to win etc. Being human, all teams make mistakes, errors of judgement, wrong decisions etc. It's called life. There is no perfcet world where we have a divine right to win everything. As a small nation we do pretty well generally. We won the cricket test series and whacked the Oz at rugby only this weekend. Get behind the team instead of ever knocking them......or let me know who's going to win and I'll nip down the bookies....BWFC_Insane wrote:
