Man Utd v Reading
Enjoyable game that for a 0-0. Reading were well organised defensively and their players were 100% committed. Our lot should take note.
Dave Kitson was sent off a minute after coming on and Rooney limped off injured, which was a bonus.

Reading defended very well today, for all United's possession I thought the visitors were well worth their draw. It's always amusing to see Jughead limp off but the problem this time is that they can just replace him with Tevez, which takes the shine off things...
Red card or not? I can't decide. I thought it was asking for a red but it was not a malicious tackle and he was just trying to block the ball.

He was woeful today but Ronaldo was hardly impressive until last season either and that was his third.Batman wrote:That Nani looks a shocker

I thought it was a red. Malicious? Probably not. Reckless? Definitely. No doubt there will be worse this season that don't result in sendings off.Crouch > Davies wrote:Reading defended very well today, for all United's possession I thought the visitors were well worth their draw. Reading are very well drilled and very well organised. They defend in numbers and they break very quickly with pace. I would liked to have seen Lita play today it was a shame he was injured. What they do try to do, unlike other teams that get promoted, is they try and play football. Most of the newcomers will just lump it around but Reading, like Wigan before them, keep the ball on the floor and knock it around a bit. They could knock it over the top for someone to chase but they play around and through instead. I like Reading, I think they are a good team.
They also have a very astute manager as well. He got his tactics spot on today, and the Slur had no answers to it whatsoever. They won't be able to do that in every game against the bigger teams this season but they'll never get thumped. Fair play to them, I'm happy to see them do well.
