Houston Dynamo vs Pachuca

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Houston Dynamo vs Pachuca

Post by libreg » Wed Aug 15, 2007 3:28 am

So far, houston are winning 1-0, after the goal in the 5th minute. Now its the 17th minute, and I must say I'm impressed. Not by the way they play (well, that too) but the fact that there are more American fans then Mexican fans. Good job American, good job. Or should I say Beckham :?
And for anyone that doesn't know, this game is being played in a tournament called "SuperLiga". A mini tournament with four american clubs, and four mexican clubs. The winning club gets an "amazing" 1,000,000. Thats only 500,000 pounds. Who the hell do they expect to buy?

EDIT: Now its 1-1. I'm not suprise, given the fact that Dynamo lost their last 2 games in the MLS to two of the league's worst teams.

Might as well post the result of a tiddlywinks competition.

He went to the Middle East, didn't he? Has he gone back home?

And please, can we have a post on football in America without someone immediately being condescending? Just for the novelty factor?

Good to see he went to an oil-rich state to further his career. Correct on the translation.

It's an interesting tournament though, I guess competition between Mexico and the US is no bad thing.

Interestingly of the 8 teams 3 US teams were in the semi finals..

Pachuca won one the penalty shootouts, because Joseph Ngwenya was a MORON and shot the ball straight down the middle at 2 miles per hour.

With his first free kick (in 8 months).

Apparently it didn't count, because it went under the bar!

He also got an assist! Don't look for it though it gives a bad impression of American defenders.

Luckily I don't have to see him every week. DC c*nt. Believe me, most MLS defenders aren't that worthless. Perhaps he was dazzled by a pass that came from Beckham's boot?

Aye that wonderfully average worm shagger he planted through! Why the hell did he run away from it and then try back-heeling it?? to be fair, in the highlights from that league, I've seen worse
