USA vs Brazil

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

USA vs Brazil

Post by libreg » Sun Sep 09, 2007 8:30 pm

In 30 minutes. Obviously, Brazil is going to win. For three reasons.
1) Better players
2) Better team work
3) Our coach is 10 times worse than McClaren.

I don't know, but probably one of those "friendly" type teams. Where they start out weak and eventually put in kaka, ronaldinho etc.
Either way, we're going to lose. Although I HOPE we win. I'll be watching eagerly.... What I'm hoping for is that it'll be a close game. The fact that there will be more brazillian fans out in an American stadium, in chicago, won't help. Don't you just LOVE America? The only country where the away national team is cheered more the our own.

You've GOT to be shitting me. Brazil are putting they're 100% squad. Ronaldinho, kaka, Robinho, etc. We're gonna get raped. Not to mention we have dempsey and a fecking 2nd bundesliga player (wolff) as the 2 strikers. I know Bob Bradley loves experimenting during friendlies, but this is disgusting. Does he want to humiliate us?
And it kicks off. If landon donovan scores in this game, he's going to break the record for the us all time goal scorer.

WOW!!! WHAT AN AMAZING OWN GOAL!!!
I should of known. An underdog can never beat a big time team like brazil. Especially a hated country like the USA. Luck hates us, and now it's tied.
Annndd it's half time. That own goal by onyewu pissed me off. We were winning too.... but, it was nice play from brazil anyway. I think the first half was very even. Surprising. Right about now, I surprisingly have hope. I think we can either win it or lose it with the snap of a finger.

oh yeah, things couldn't get ANY better. Tim howard got injured (while brazil scored on us), and now chris seitz, a BACKUP goal keeper for real salt lake, and a backup for the u-20 team is subing for him. Great.
.......................................

WTF? He isn't going to get subed? Even worse.

WHAT THE feck?!?! That should of easily been a penalty. The guys dragged him down by pulling his shirt!!
Either way, Eddie Johnson came on for wolff. Thank god. Wow. As soon as Johnson came in, he made a huge impact. This is why Derby wanted him.

4-2. One because of a penalty, one because of an own goal. Not to mention we should have had a penalty because of being brought down by pulling his fecking shirt on an open goal. So, it COULD have been 3-2, 3-3, but no. I will stop whining, because a result is a result.

U.S. 2, Referee 4. Much different game at 2-2 and a man advantage - blatant penalty and probably a red card. That free kick was also ridiculous, only going to be a foul when Ronaldinho is bitching about it. Between this and the U.S. - Canada game from the Gold Cup this guy should never be allowed to referee again. Gutting result because we held our own and played some very good football. Michael Bradley is looking like a great prospect if he can reduce the rash tackles.

Not sure the same can be said about Bob Bradley, I never want to see Wolff in the USA shirt again. Let alone partnered with Dempsey up front. HE'S NOT A STRIKER!!!

Wish we had gotten Cherundolo when we were linked with him last year.

I thought Gooch was worth a gamble but Cherundolo has been a regular in the Bundesliga for almost a decade. It's debatable whether we need another right back but I guess we'll see how O'Brien and Sinclair do covering for Hunt . . . I'm a bit nervous.
