United's Munich tribute
Is this
Note that they've got the words wrong and included their American sponsor's logo.
For me the megastore is also unfortunately placed and surely the picture doesn't include some of the other people who died. Shame they can't even get this right, what must the rags be thinking? Maybe they'll attack Gill's house again?

The words go right back to the actual time of the Busby babes and were a calypso recorded about them.Athers wrote:Is this

As it's the second time you've mentioned it I assume you're just waitng for the question. So, ''what's wrong with the wording Athers?''Athers wrote:and they've got the words wrong.TANGODANCER wrote:The words go right back to the actual time of the Busby babes and were a calypso recorded about them.Athers wrote:Is this

"You're Gemini, and I don't know which one I like the most!"
Well since you happen to ask, they've missed out 'Busby' after 'bouncing'

You're absolutely right Athers. As I remember it the word order was a bit different in that line too:Athers wrote:Well since you happen to ask, they've missed out 'Busby' after 'bouncing'
Manchester, Manchester United,
A bouncing bunch of Busby babes,
They deserve to be knighted.
Came out before the disaster of course and not too many fans outside of Manchester agreed with the sentiment.
Sport calypsos were very popular then a la:
Cricket lovely cricket,
at Lords there I saw it
I was there with those friends of mine
Ramadin and Valentine.
etc......

Yeah, the AIG logo is a bit strange. Perhaps it was thought that putting the logo on the image would show the sponsor's support, but it just looks like a cheap company advert.
It looks they are sticking to the minutes silence idea for the game against City... And if the city fans stay silent during it, then it will be a great day for respect and inter-football relations... But, I can't see it happening; you'd expect that there will be plenty of fans screaming abuse.
I've know a couple of City lads who aren't going to the game 'cos they think its going to be an embarrassment, not on the pitch but in the stands.
A minutes applause solves this problem.

I can't imagine AIG paid for it. If they had I think it would be more of an advert and the sentiment would be truely lost; photoshop AIG onto all the shirts and give them ronaldo haircuts.
As you say CH, it's probably something contractual, in that wherever the Man Utd logo appears, the AIG logo must also been shown.
