The beautiful game is in safe hands!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

The beautiful game is in safe hands!

Uefa has denied the Champions League draw was fixed - despite the quarter-final line-up appearing on the internet 90 minutes before the official ceremony had taken place. (Various)

Cheers.

Being the natural cynic I am, it just basically confirms what I always thought.

And being an uber-cynic means I reckon this all maybe a hoax by those loveable scallies over on the echo site (hacking in and playing with the time on the threads?).

Though even if it were a hoax, I still think its rigged (££££££££)

Bit harsh on the Reebok rebels Ginge - in typical Bolton fashion, they give 100%.

I also saw somebody put the 'results' of the draw up before it took place.....

They declared Chelsea and Man Utd would be playing eachother.

Any chance this could be guess work on the websites part?

Indeed. I'm not for one moment suggesting UEFA would be above rigging it if they thought there was financial benefit (and if they thought they'd get away with it), but just think - every year, I get at least one circulation of a "leaked" fixture list for the season. It's always wrong. But, given there are far less possible combinations here, it'd be easy to imagine that with just a few guesses on different websites (and just pairing the teams, rather than attempting to put them in any sort of order), then one of the guesses could be correct.

I wasn't going to put that because I'm a believer that this was all above board like you and that the website guessed (as my post states) BUT the three biggest clubs left in the tournament (commercially - that is) have the favourable draws. Man Utd, Chelsea and Barcelona all should progress without much of a fuss (I'm not saying the United game is easy but they are a much better team than Roma) Also the added spice of the previous game could draw in massive viewing figures for this one in the hope of seeing something controversial

Nope - and there are no fairies at the bottom of my garden either. At least, not when I last checked! :D
