That coming out every time a Premiership job is available and publically declaring your interest is a good thing to do?

Does he not realise that it makes him look desperate?

Have some dignity Sam for Gods sake and stop using the media to help you get a job.

Mind not like he's not got history there is it?

Indeed - but it didn't help him.

You'd have thought he'd learn...

Not sure he had much choice really - media already had him linked to the job (as did half the population of the Mackem's Forums) before Kean's arse had hit the out door.

Once he's been put in the frams by the media, he's only got a couple of options available - No I'm not interested, Yes I am or No Comment which would probably be interpreted as "yes I am" anyhow...

Or simply say nothing and apply for the job like every other out of work manager does.

The day after Keane has gone and Allardyce is all over the back of the Sun. Sorry he has a choice! He chooses to whore himself for every job going.

Plus, have you noticed that fat boy is always described as "former Newcastle boss". Y'know like the twenty minutes he spent in charge there were his greatest achievement.

When will these people learn NEVER LEAVE BOLTON WANDERERS!!!

There is only probably Anelka that has successfully gone onto bigger and better things.

Personaly, I can't see Sunderland taking on a manager that Newcastle sacked.

I can.

Allardyce played for Sunderland.

He will want to prove he isn't a busted flush.

Sunderland have the financial clout (idiocy) to build up his backroom team.

He still has a house in the area.

The Sunderland delusionals will massage his ego to a successful climax.

I think he's nailed on for it.

Personally, I think Curbishley will get the gig...

... as for Allardici, I don't see any reason why he shouldn't tout himself for the job. Why not? He's got piss all else to do with his time. I know it's crappy seeing a former hero of our looking so desperate, but it's clear that he wants to prove himself in the Prem again. He wasn't given any time at Puke-astle... and I think a manager would be mental not to jump at the chance of working with Niall Quinn. Mental he may be, but he seems like a decent enough bloke and he throws money around like it's going out of fashion!

He'd love to shove it up Newcastle by joining these wouldn't he. Basically a club at the bottom with some not too terrible players who he can re-establish his reputation with. Even Sbragia and Diouf are there.

Think he's too short on the bookies' markets though.

The guy can't sit on his arse forever. Better than being nagged to redecorate the spare room by the wife for the 80,000th time.

David Jack,Dennis Stevens,Wyn Davies, Franny Lee, Paul Fletcher, Alan Thompson, Alan Stubbs, Jason Mcateer, Eidur Gudjohnson, Nichiolas Anelka...(there will be more)

Its a myth that theres a curse to leaving Bolton, the best ones always do well, the ones that haven't done well are generally the ones who weren't that good in the first place.
