Not sure in our case we were contending GK got fouled. Weren't we grumbling about whoever was scrabbling to get to the back post?
Aimson, wasn't it? Only, he wasn't fouled either (not by my measure anyway).

Think you might be correct, on both counts. :-)

Not for us but the Arsenal one I think under modern rules that sort of thing will get looked at.

How does this work then? Aubameyang [Barcelona - Chelsea] £12m.

I thought clubs weren't allowed to claim a fee for a player who they'd picked up for nowt a few months ago?!

Not sure that's correct. I don't think there's anything preventing them then selling the player for cash, subject to both sides meeting agreement on who owes any outstanding money under the contract to each other and any other involved parties (sell on clauses and the like)...

I've got it in my head from somewhere that there's a minimum time stipulation.

Wasn't our famous signing of Deitmar Hamman, the shortest on record at under 24 hours? Think he was from "free" :-)

And sold on for 400k a few hours later if PG is to be believed.

I need to look these up over the weekend, but even in the case of Hamman I seem to recall that we nearly ended up in lumber after Allardyce couldn't help but use it to big himself up as being some sophisticated operator.

Think Garty said on radio interview we never completed the paperwork. EPL did an investigation and said they had all the paperwork...

Feel like we have been mugged off here. We seem to give everyone away on free transfers these days. Not to happy about him going to Chelsea either. Guaranteed hatrick against us next time they play us

Arteta wanted him out. That was clear from the programme on Prime. The only way to do that was tear up his contract. I guess you have to be prepared for that to come back and bite you on the arse. You probably wouldn’t have expected it to happen quite so soon Tbf.

Hope Arsenal win today but feel their winning start comes to an end today.

Was at the derby today! Very happy gooner after. Hate spurs, love beating them and we played well too. Brilliant atmosphere. Top of the league. Not felt so content supporting my team for a while. I’m sure it won’t last so enjoying it whilst it does (Yes Richard Keys, I am allowed to) but the potential there for this young team makes it really exciting at the moment as a supporter.

I see also that you've stopped booing Granit Xhaka mercilessly. If fact, you even sing his name in praise now. "SOCCER". ✊️ 😁

Things you love to see. 😂 Hopefully it becomes even more embarrassing in the second half!
