I dunno, I never used to like Neville. But afraid to say he's come across really well on SKY. Seems very intelligent and articulate.

And actually think its quite clever by Hodgson. Pick a very public face to be a coach, but someone who hasn't necessarily been tainted by it before.

That is a great appointment. I haven't seen much of him on Sky Sports but people I spoken too have said he's quite a bit better than the old school pundits. Its not necessarily an outright coaching position but a more of a go between the players and manager. Hodgson is looking like a shrewd move imv.

Massively respected by players. Knows the game. He'll be a good link between players and management.

Re: Experience. All the best coaches and managers started off with no experience. Somebody has to give them the opportunity.
