Euro 2012

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

The problem is that they aren't cameras. Until FIFA brings in the technology you can have as many officials as you want, you will get errors

Hodgson seems to have brought a calmness to the team but why the blinking flip do they have to give the ball away so often? There were several times in the last 15 minutes that England players were pointlessly trying to take on two or three Ukraine players instead of playing a simple ball to back someone in space. Bonkers!

How much would technology cost to implement vs paying 2 extra officials every match?

I want to cheer us on and feel confident, but I don't. Decidedly outplayed in a defensive hang-on. Referees' decisions are more than weird in this tournament. Every one of their players could take the ball past any one of ours and we never made a decent attack with any real threat. Rooney brought nothing to the side..nothing and should have come off instead of Welbeck. Looked less than fully fit to me. Unless we play a whole lot better, can't see us going much further. Terry had a decent game under pressure and Gerard put the effort in and was probably our best player.

Awful. We spent the first half looking like terrified schoolboys with panicked clearings the result of any time a player was under pressure.

Every tournament we enter we're told the players are tired after a long Premier season. Rooney plays like a numpty in his first game in the tournament and it's because he's 'rusty'.

Still if you cant be good, be lucky. We were very lucky tonight

Personally, I think he has for all 3 games.

+1

Some positives... We looked fairly decent off-the-ball, Rooney might get better, getting to the quarters is respectable, some of the Italians look very old, anything can happen in knockout football.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Abysmal, really...

Fortunate in all three games...

So, if you can't be good, be lucky...

And we have been... like... We aren't playing spain...

So... Italy, piece of piss...

So long as we all carry a rabbit's foot, keep our fingers crossed during their interminable national anthem and don't walk under any ladders going onto the pitch...

Fail in any of those and we are fuct...

Milner may aswell go home for me.. been shite every game. Should have brought Adam Johnson. Would rather see Downing out there.

Next game drop Milner & Young (both been shite and not looked arsed) give Walcott and Chamberlain a run out.

Next game will be interesting..

Hopefully, we'll pick some midfielders at weekend. If we do, we might do ok.

Disappointed with Parker, Milner in particular and Young, this game. That's 3 players missing.

Thee, there, don't be angry Hoboh. We did (somehow) top the group. It's only a sport and one should never be truly angry at sport. Unless it's playing golf and then one can get very angry indeed at times.

That has got to have been a fix from the technology companies. Could you wish for a better demonstration of how adding two extra officials is pointless?! In a game involving the same team as last time it kicked off.

As for the game meh, I don't know what people expect! If we don't win 6-0 everyone is f*cked off. Average players play averagely. And win for a change. I was never worried they'd score, cept when they did, but you know what I mean. We won a group containing many people's dark horses. We're solid. We won't win it, but I'd be surprised if we weren't in the game against Italy.
