They were both on the beeb website, only last Friday, praising each other. It must be the modern equivalent of the vote of confidence. What a bell end
"Get your feet off the furniture you Oxbridge tw*t. You're not on a feckin punt now you know"
Re: Tonight's Football
Just in time for us to play them. Great.

Steve Evans 2013, "Leeds are not a big club, they used to be, now they are just a circus run by puppets, watched by blinkered seals. If they offered me the job I would turn it down. I want to be the captain of a cruise liner, not the titanic"Zulus Thousand of em wrote:Leeds United and Steve Evans - a marriage made in heaven.

It introduces an alternative phrase to the English language to compliment 'builder's bum', ... 'stretcher-bearer's cleavage'.LeverEnd wrote:Didn't look injured to me.... at the start of the clip. Brilliant.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:last night's, actually.

Amazing what influence a decent manager can have on a bunch of 'no-hopers'.Ben Turner? wrote:People criticising Sunderland need to remember this is an Allardyce set-up, not pretty football but devastatingly effective.

Wonder what tonight, V Spain, will bring? Notable exceptions in amongst the sen~ors seem to be Sergio Garcia and Xavi (who I think has retired). Rooney is dropped in favour of Kane and the Spanish are always a test.

It showed that despite producing a 100% record in qualifying, this lot are still light years behind the better European teams. Who'd have thought it?TANGODANCER wrote:Wonder what tonight, V Spain, will bring?

Re: Tonight's Football
^. Unfortunately all true L.G.M. One of the reasons that I think international football, outside of prestige tournaments like EUFA and the Champions League is dead in the water. Are your 300k per-week club footballers ( I'm looking at you Sterling) going to risk all for Queen and country and all that for a cloth cap in an unfriendly friendly ? Are they fxck as like. The Spanish were fitter, faster and far more committed than our lot, ( in addition to cheating, fouling and play-acting) whose live hand-grenade main plan seemed to be "get it back to Joe and he'll wallop it into their half" (or touch). They bullied us, gave us the run around and generally made us look third class. Scrap the World Cup, an expensive waste of time that nobody gives one about as of three days after the final (except West Ham boozers, they won it in 66 you know) . National pride abroad started to decline with Thomas Cook's first cheap holidays to Salou and Torremolinos. Amen.

England v France. Have to watch this tonight, although I'm really surprised it's being played at all under the circumstances.

Whoa, whoa there. LET the French win !?!? It's serious, but it's not THAT serious.thebish wrote:I imagine we'll let them win - to make them feel better... or summat...
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
