Tonight's Football

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Two of those goals shouldn't have stood. Rooney clearly offside, Rooney clearly dived. But it's alright, because it's Wonderful Wayne.

I forget how much I hate United sometimes.

Another bore-fest from United. Rooney dived and got a penalty? .....Never....

Crazy game Villa v West Brom. Ref sent two off for absolutely nothing. Felt sorry for Brom, the man was clueless.

DMB's No. 7. No help to their defence, that lad!

Two very good goals. Well worked one from Arsenal and a cracking header from Rooney.

Not withstanding Oxblade Chambermaid's excellent work, DMB's No.7's shitness in defence gifted the space. That said, DMB's No.7 put in a peach of a ball for Rooney's beauty of a header!

None of them covered themselves in glory. Feck only knows what Valencia was doing.

Good to see a ref at Old Trafford unimpressed by the D.M.B's trotting out every dodge in the book including plenty flying clogs. . Well done that man. De Maria was stupid.

The ref was outstanding tonight. Mr Mark Haywood might want to take a few notes.

Cracking game between Madrid and Schalke. Schalke in front twice, two Ronaldo headers, all square. Can't stand the man but he sure can score goals.

Schalke back in front. Another goal needed with three minutes stoppage time to play.

COME ON SCHALKE!!!

Finished 4-3 Schalke, but 5-4 Madrid on average. Pity Schalke were climbing a mountain being two down to start at the Bernabeu. Seven good goals, some oscar-winning acting from Madrid and some really nice football in between. Good watching.

That was a great game. Howedies should have won it - if only the chance had fallen to Huntelaar! (instead of him knocking it down for someone else).

England match this Friday against monolithic juggernauts Lithuania.

Who is Ryan Mason? He plays for Spurs. Admittedly I don't really follow the Premier League as much as I used to, but I've genuinely never heard of him. Had a quick gander at his wikipedia page and can clearly see why he's been selected for the squad - no U21 caps; plays for spurs.

I've just looked him up too, along with Nathaniel Clyne. :conf:

I think Clyne has been a mainstay at RB for Southampton for the past couple of PL seasons, so I get that. Potentially a better option than that glorified sprinter who plays for Spuds in the same position - Kyle Walker.
