In other tonight's football news. Good to see Chorley at Peterborough on BT!

My nut-megging Jamie Vermiglio anecdote finally starting to bear fruit 17 years after the event.

Hahaha yes Conor Hall! Hit the post twice as well. Beevers switched off for the goal.

Had a rubbish few days, was really hoping Arsenal might cheer me up tonight but no. That was bloody awful. Think it’s fair to say that from now on, as a general rule, Arsenal should probably stop buying Brazilian Chelsea rejects with big hair.

Next game. Villa away where no doubt Emi Martinez will play a blinder and we will play our 3rd choice keeper who is terrible but given the first choice is suspended and the decent back up we did buy just a week or so ago is injured will be our only option. Things can only get worse.

Good news for fans of the WSL. More matches to be shown on the BBC. Not only is it fantastic for young girls to see that women’s sport is being taken more seriously but the boost in coverage should encourage more sponsorship and money into the game enabling it to improve further. There’s always the misogynistic idiots pop up on these posts on the MOTD fb pages though (and no doubt a few on here too...).

Is this one a kick-around, a glorified kick-around or a purposeful do? :?

It's the start of us bringing home the World Cup.

Felt sorry for San Marino. Few players to choose from, totally overwhelmed, hardly got the ball yet they never stopped trying or running. I hardly recognised some of our own players as we were like a reserve eleven; more double-barreled names than Vogue magazine. With our square and back passing game I doubt we'll be scoring five goals against Germany, Spain, France,Italy or Belgium. I'd like to be wrong...

What, two?

I thought we were excellent first half, if a bit profligate. Obviously dropped off second. Can only beat what's in front of you but yeah, those games seem a bit pointless for everyone.

Spain and France both drew, at home, with the mighty Greece and Ukraine respectively.

We're going to win it :D

I hear that San Marino's goalie played well, so, given that our current incumbent is about to be wheeled away in a bath chair, and those in line are considered more of a risk in goal than Harry Brockbank, I thought I'd do some scouting and read his Wiki page.
