Still a great player. They look a much better side when he plays.

I just logged out of my Email, then it told me that Frank Lampard is quitting Chelsea and maybe will go to New York City FC

Not a chance. He's not liked there.

That makes sense. Just a couple of seasons, earning megabucks as Citeh overspend there following what they've done here. They signed David Villa yesterday. Though there are serious spending cps over there I thought.

Just a better version of Kevin Nolan if you ask me. Does nothing all game then might score (with a high percentage from penalties).

A much much better version! Not quite at Scholes level domestically but a darn sight better than him in an England shirt!

A much much better version yes, but still basically the same kind of player imo.

Which makes him pretty good then. It's easy to forget the career Nolan will have had by the time he retires.

Lampard has never, ever, ever let anyone down, at a very high level.

Not entirely accurate. Lampard was the heartbeat of the Chelsea midfield when they won two league titles and the champions league.

He was obviously known for his goals but he was also very good in his distribution and general contribution in midfield and was far less of a "play off a big front man" type than Nolan is.

280 goals from 948 senior appearances (that doesn't appear to include club friendlies) is pretty amazing.

A goal every 3.4 games. That would be a decent strike rate for a half decent striker never mind a midfielder.

In comparison:
Beckham 146 goals from 834 games
Gerrard 194 goals from 779 games
