Sound like a shambles. Boyd failed medical on an eye test and rumour has it McLeish has walked.
The Sherpa Van Trophy! We've won it one time!
Re: Nottingham Forest
Funniest part of it is that Boyd has passed a medical with Forest a while back when he was on loan with them!

Re: Nottingham Forest
Blimey ....
Nottingham Forest manager Alex McLeish has left the club by mutual consent after just over six weeks in charge.
Chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi told the club website: "I'm bitterly disappointed - as is Alex - that it has not worked out as we had hoped.
"I would like to put on record my thanks for his services and wish him every success in the future."
McLeish was appointed on 28 December but only won one game out of seven and lost five of those matches.
The club have said they will not be making any further comment.
McLeish said: "I am extremely saddened to be leaving after such a short period but even so it has been a privilege to be manager of such a fantastic football club and I want to thank the players, staff and fans for their support and wish Nottingham Forest the best of fortunes ahead.
"Both parties entered into the relationship in good faith, however, there was a difference in the understanding of the development strategy of the football club and it was felt by both parties that we should part company."
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Re: Nottingham Forest
McLeish is experienced and has managed promotion before. Presumably there will be calls to "get him at Bolton" now?

Re: Nottingham Forest
Something I think speaks volumes is that in all the chopping and changing of managers we have seen over recent weeks, Coyle hasn't been appointed at any club YET.
I'll add yet on the end then just in case!

Is that really how it works in football? I'm not so sure.thebish wrote:has he applied for any of them?89bwfc89 wrote:Something I think speaks volumes is that in all the chopping and changing of managers we have seen over recent weeks, Coyle hasn't been appointed at any club YET.

Hey, could be that he was offered and turned them down. Just something that stands out to me that's all, you know with him leaving our team in the best possible position or whatever it was he said, you'd think other clubs would be snapping him up.
Re: Nottingham Forest
He was offered the Blackpool job apparently but turned it down because the chairman is an end of a bell.89bwfc89 wrote:Is that really how it works in football?
