Hull City Tigers - Roar, roar, roar.

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

It sounds absolutely fecking ridiculous. Hey, unless a startling metamorphosis has occurred and they have actually gone from being an association football club based in the city of Kingston upon Hull and have turned into actual tigers instead. Blimey.

Yeah, its still f*cking Hull whatever you stick on the end.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'm yet to hear a Hull fan refer to their team as Hull City AFC. It's always been either Hull, Hull City or just plain City. The only ones that will use the Tigers part I suspect, will be the young kids. It may catch on in 15-20 years. It's one of those where you think, thank fook that's not my club!

The meeja will use it ... they love that sort of shite. Their own PR machine will be akl over it as they try to establish 'the brand' .... but real fans of 'ull will barely use it. Wrexham renamed themselves as Dragons ... no affect at all and even the local press have stopped trying to use it.

I suppose everyone saw RL do it and it, sort of, work. Certainly there was little resistance.

its a shame but way, way, way better than Cardiff changing their colours entirely .... and far better than being Coventry right now I guess.

He really is a piece of work.

It shows the respect he has for the club, fans, city.

That said, he has them in the Premiership.

Hull City owner Assem Allam was misinterpreted in a dispute with supporters over rebranding the club, according to manager Steve Bruce.
Allam said fans opposed to his plan to rename the club Hull Tigers can "die as soon as they want", a reference to campaign group City Till We Die.
"I think what he was saying was he needs the situation to die, not the supporters to go away and die," Bruce told BBC Radio 5 live.
"I think there's a misinterpretation."

The strangest part is that he's lived in the city for decades and supposedly been quite the good Hull citizen all his life. It's not like he's arrived at the airport and decided to do this (Cardiff)

I like a man who takes not a blind bit of notice.

Yet I think it's a poor show.

Just heard a little snippet of an interview with Allam on the radio....said he'll walk away from the club within 24 hours unless the FA allow him the name change.
