There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Community Shield Predictions

Post by mcflykyle182 » Sat Aug 10, 2013 11:18 am

Surely Wigan can't do it again.

3-0 United, a result which send Wigan on a rocky road toward relegation.

Maybe that last part was wishful thinking.
''Amazing! Out of nothing Bolton are level. A quick throw, Kevin Nolan keeps play alive in the box and finds Kevin Davies on the left who lashes a shot under Oliver Kahn.''

Do it again?! It's the fecking Community Shield. Literally nothing counts less. 8-0 United.

A glorified friendly game. I won't be watching or listening.

I'm sure when Man U win they will call it the first trophy of the season but I think that is tosh.

Coyle's return to Wembley. Kind of get the feeling he really didn't have to work hard to achieve this chance to remove the 5-0 Wembley monkey off his back.

Rooney out with a sore shoulder. Could be an expansion of a sprained wrist. Wigan get sunk and the downward spiral starts coupled with OC blaming us and how good the Barclays Premier League is and how magnificent ManU and their manager are. Then a surfeit of excuses until he sinks Wigan. Exciting season after all 8)
Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.

The Beeb said he 'bristled' when reference was made to his last trip to Wembley.

I can see Utd taking this seriously cos Moyes will want to win his first trophy.

Can sense another 0-5 here Owen

I hope both sides kick each other to pieces. Many injuries on both sides.

Only sort of way this result can be satisfactory.
