Your England XI

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Well, I told off by Pru for not understanding a1's posts. He said he didn't understand why people claim to not understand (which was ironic, if nothing else).

So ... if anyone can explain what

"he's a bobby shitcoat hypnocoin special"
............. or
"danny dub plain yorkshirite"

means I'd appreciate them letting me know.

Then I can decide whether I agree or not.

Yeah, if you say so. Please, feel free to stand by as interpreter, but why should there be a need for one?

danny wilson would never have got john stones anywhere near the england squad.

he plays for roberto martinez for 5 minutes and he's in.

peter crouch did similar , scored like billy-o for southampton but no call up.

got transfered to liverpool and THE DAY AFTER (he'd not even played a game for them yet) he was in.

its just i (you/whoever) have to support this team. and i carnt even want to due to politics or bias or whatever.

why is cole not in ? he's a dick sure, but so is rooney.

he shagged old scrubbers . when ashley cheated on his wife at least he did it with people who didnt know methuselah's dad .

fair enough he's not bin playing for chelsea , but that azululqueta is crap.

he's older, but its in four weeks or so.

there no consistency with the explanations or whatever.

at least with bolton , its my team and it'll be down to other factors, eg, zat knight's shite but he's a good lad . douf's being a dick but its funny. campo's diving on the ball, but he's stopping them scoring. trotters a donkey , but he's all we can afford.

it's why i hate shit ronaldo* "yeah it were a good goal, but he's a cheating diving sly bastard" it clouds my judgement on anything they do. "messi's better coz he cheats less"

and i'm getting more of a feeling similar to the c.ronaldo / rooney ^ things rather than the ^ bolton things with regards to england fc . and it shouldnt be.

yeah , i've veered off a bit.

Granted Cole has experience... but experience of what? basically - he has experience (at world cups) of failure and disappointment.. is that the kind of experience we need alongside the kids?

Impact sub if we need a goal.

Old head on the pitch for the last group game if we are sitting pretty at the top.

But what if we need to defend a lead and the defence is all at sea? Surely an old head that still has legs has just as much use?

I'm not really sure that experience of actually getting your hands on it is that counts here from individuals. Cole has got experience of being an England player who actually performed and looked like he belonged at a major international tournament. It's been the other ten useless pricks next to him who have been the problem. The only player in that squad you can say that about is Rooney; and that was 10 years ago and he's been utter shite since.

I think when you look at the standby list and see that the next best option is apparently Tom bloody Cleverly then it becomes a bit more obvious why Lampard is in!

That's it, as over the hill and no longer England class that I think Lampard is, I cannot think of another squad filler.

He gets goals which is where we can struggle, just don't partner him with fecking Gerrard.

Hodgson is the first England manager in recent years to really commit to picking a good number young and exciting players in a tournament.

Maybe he had no choice but for me it is the best selection for a good while.

I agree Insane one. It's about time the 'golden generation' were discarded. I do still think that the managers pick players too readily for who they play for. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

I have a question that nobody seems to have asked yet, who is going to tackle? We have a side full of young skilful midfielders but none of them can tackle. Most game of football are won in the centre of midfield so not having A defensively minded midfielder means we haven't got a hope of winning any games.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
