Outstanding own goals.

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Trying to find Keith Curle's outstanding volley for Wolves at Burnden. Quite tricky to find.

I can't find it on YouTube, but if there's a better one than Willie Donachie's in 1978 while playing for Scotland v Wales in a World Cup match I've yet to see it. A header from 25 yards out if I recall it accurately.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It's all about that Jamie Pollock one.

Am also a big fan of this effort from Vincent Kompany:

And this from Tony Popovic:

Which, in the circumstances, was a fantastically significant one.

Tony Kelly once lobbed a back pass over Branagan at the Great Lever End. Again can't find it on youtube.

Two for the oldies!

A balding centre-half by the name of Ron Atkinson (subsequently famous for large identity bracelets and casual racism) knocking a 25-yard back pass all along the ground and into the corner of his own net whilst playing for Oxford United in the year dot. Embankment - I was in the Burnden Paddock.

Also who could forget Graham Wilkins (brother of Ray) showing his unique talent by banging a laughable effort past Chelsea's keeper in the 1970's? Great Lever End - and I was in the Burnden Paddock again.
God's country! God's county!
God's town! God's team!!
How can we fail?

COME ON YOU WHITES!!

Chelsea scored two own goals that day. David Hay scored the other with a peach of a header as I recall. The match was televised but I can't find any footage.

Like this...

You only use the bit after the "=" sign in the youtube URL. and put "youtube /youtube" tags around it.

I was looking for this one - but would never have found it as I was looking for Zat Knight, against Blackburn/Wigan for some reason...

Graham Wilkin's career ended early due to a badly broken leg. Had it not he was Shirley well in the frame for the World record holder for OG's.

He used to score four or five a season.
