This has really been the year of the scumbag owner, from the "Hull Tigers" clown to the Leeds owner who changes managers every three days, to QPR ignoring their FFP fine, to Blackpool starting the season with a half dozen players. Vincent Tan is very much the innocent party in all of this. He's seen a opportunity since to get back at the guy who spread lies about him in the national media, racially abused him behind his back, made him a laughing stock and 'helped' cost him hundreds of millions of pounds.

Neil Redfearn is still under contract until 30 June and had the option of resuming as academy manager, but it remains to be seen whether he has severed all ties with the club after his public stand-off with Cellino.

Cellino branded the former academy manager Redfearn as “weak” and a “baby” after returning to office earlier this month having served a Football League ban for a tax conviction in his homeland last year.
