I had just typed "Worryingly familiar, this: initial superiority lapsing into increasingly desperate defending before the inevitable concession". Iles said something about us needing to hang on till half-time, but there were 11 minutes left, and we didn't get near. :?

We're not in charge at all right now are we? They're smelling blood and we are not sounding like the home side. It's all them as they get another corner. This is not good. Equaliser header over Ben apparently. Goal kick us and we really need to get some confidence right about now. Throw them now after a Madine shove ( on him) goes unreported. Right, enough of this shxt, get back into it COME ON.....

Back they come and some real hair-drying seeming needed very soon. This is sounding all too familiar and ...Alf goes and...again and.....the keeper grabs it. Their attacking sounds organised, we seem to be relying on a lucky break. Back they come and....win a corner with a minute left. And.....in and....Taylor slices clear. Not good. Zico screeches against a free kick they get....but they get it anyway......and...a header goes over.....Magic potion no9 needed. Half time 1-1.

Well for 15 mins we played it on the ground and scored. We actually looked good. Then for the next 30 we seemed intent on hoofing the ball and we look like conceding with every attack. Very lucky to be level. This is shocking. Unless something changes, honesty can't see us staying top 6. Garbage

I'm just hoping (as I did on Tuesday) that we've been letting them blow off some froth and we'll up the energy levels this half. No real surprise much isn't coming from midfiled as we haven't got much of one right now. Spearing, Pratley, even the new lad migh be the difference but it's pretty obvious here our problems lie. Wallop ball can usually be dealt with by decent defences and that's what we seem to be playing. Get a grip lads, roast somebody Phil and lets get it sorted. Three points today may be a turning point.....very hopefully. COME ON YOU WHITES.... :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:

Curtain rises on Act II. Fill up the walls with out Bolton dead and charge forth for Boton and St George. Or in plain old Bolton language, " get yer fingers out and ger at em." Like now.....this is our middin. :oyea: We go....

The lime greeners face north. We go and.....win a handball free kick 25 out and right down the barrel. And.....Morais...Alf....?? and.....and...ref sorts the wall out and......and....ooooohhhhh the keeper tips it onto a post and clear. That's twice he's made cracking saves....

Madine playing lonesom cowboy apparently and some activity around the bench causes comment. We go and....and....
they clear. Thorpe not impressing the mic lads as 13,595 crowd announced. Gary weins as throw and.....we go to Gigg as Bury go 2 down. Meanwhile Rochdale equalise at Sheffield.....

Official getting it in the neck again from the mic lads. We clear via Wheater and they get a throw. They sally forth, Beevers clears and.....and....oooohhhh Alf lashes one at the keeper.

Come on lads, Elliot gets away with a hand ball then we sall and.....and...we get a corner as Vela's shot is deflected. And we get a corner and.....and....cleared. Wheater and Taylor and....cleared. Derik come forth, Taylor has no support and they clear. Morais tries, it's cleared. Some poor play by us then Elliot goes offside. Get a goal now and the confidence level could go right up. Derik now, Madine loses out, they clear again. Midfield needed, apply at the Macron burger bar.

Beevers wins a free kick and gets the good words. Crowd getting a bit noisy. Come on and.....we get another free kick. Morais and.....and...and...in, out and a throw. Taylor and.....and...in and...and...and....it's scrambled clear. We can go back and we're not beating them. Parky has a froth at the ref as they get a free kick. Zico quoting in Scouse as we get a free kick somewhere in Preston and....Ben sends it to his opposite number. Beevers clears, they get it back Derick and Thorpe manage to lose it and Alf concedes a free kick. Mick lads reshuffle the team (metaphorically) then, some chat and..some scores and....sixty mins have gone as P.E starts on the sideline. They come again and Morais and Derik clear but sloppily. Thorpe wins a free kick on halfway as subs are mentioned.....Henry?? Free kick, they clear at second attempts, Devine did well then.....Thorpe leaves for Henry.....

Will things change for the better? Big throw us and then a corner. Morais now and if we can't do it with midfield,,,,we need.....another corner. Almost make something of that then keeper punches clear again and they get it away. Long ball o Polyon...? Vela goes and.....a Womble goes in the book. Free kick us again now and......and...Dervite and...Morais, Morais to Henry and.....they clear well. Vela does well, and....Madine lashes a Wiganer....

We can do this but we need to score quickly. Keep composed at the back and cool up front. Alf is due a goal for us and today would be a nice time....as Sharp puts Sheffield back in front. And.....a bit of a kerfuffle and we get a throw near their box. Henry, Vela, Dervoite and.....a sliding cllenge from Charles gives us a corner. Morais and.....and.....and...they clear and....they get a throw. Polyon leaves for Lyle Taylor who's a striker...it seems. One cool moment and .....Alf and...Vela and....ohhhhhhhh it slides wide. Good from Alf...

They visit now and...offside isn't given as a Womble sprints in. Morais and.....Madine and....blocked and....and....the crowd roar us on. Wheater, Henry, and.....Beevers and......Taylor, Wheater.......Dervite, Henry, Derik and at least we're playing football. Put the frighteners on em lads, come on.....
