What's happened to this young shaver by the way? Has looked particularly accomplished to me on the couple of occasions on which I've seen him.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: Quade Taylor (dob 11/12/93)

Re: Contract expiry
Not a shaver any more either. Like a few, he's reached the point where he'd be overaged for the U21s; older players are ineligible for some games, while in others they're restricted in number.
In other words, it's time to poop or de-pot.

Re: Contract expiry
Played for the U21s last night, lost 1 0 to Huddersfield. He had quite a good game as did Wilson, Tom Walker on the other hand was pants !
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

We're in a bit of a mess aren't we? Never thought I'd see this happen to the Whites in my lifetime..

I thought Uncle Ed had promised that we were gonna be ok!

Re: Contract expiry
As long as we offer a contract on equal terms to Holding, we'll get compo... I'd rather keep the lad though!!

Me too. And the compensation panel always seems to favour the buyer.boltonboris wrote:As long as we offer a contract on equal terms to Holding, we'll get compo... I'd rather keep the lad though!!
Unless it's us and Rob Hall.

Re: Contract expiry
You'll get screwed big time if a fancy Premier league club like an English lad...

Re: Contract expiry
I hope there's some relegation release clause for some of those players.
Re: Contract expiry
That would require forward thinking, something the club has not been good at!Mar wrote:I hope there's some relegation release clause for some of those players.

You mean like prudent financial planning?Mar wrote:I hope there's some relegation release clause for some of those players.

Re: Contract expiry
There is. Its called you want Trotter/Davies/Spearing on a free transfer you can have them. Oh and we'll probably pay a slice of their wages too.Mar wrote:I hope there's some relegation release clause for some of those players.
But dont worry. Eddie and Phil have made sure we wont do a leeds...
Re: Contract expiry
Probably just wishful thinking. Would imagine its a damn sight worse seeing the players who couldn't give a toss in the Championship continuing to do the same in the next tier down. (that doesn't include everyone, just a wide range of players)
