Not disputing you, BB. I'd like to think this was true. Just can't see it.boltonboris wrote:Davies wants to stay and has offered to play for a reduced wage for 1 season. Club apparently want to get rid of anyone who they possibly can

On the BN this morning: Parky is talking to Blackburn winger Chris Taylor plus another wide-man. But Beevers is interesting Barnsley (Champo, his hometown club) and Rangers (Scotchland) have held talks with goalie Gilks.

Hats off to the lad if true & its a 50% reduced wage or similar, I'd have him on a reduced salary without a doubt.

I know the window doesn't open for another week but reading all these done deals on teletext is making me a bit of a panic fanny. Waiting for the embargo to be lifted, not only could we be missing out on signing some folk, I worry that if it drags on Parky will start getting twitchy.

For the record.
Niall Maher, released at the end of the season, has signed for Bury.
I've posted this mainly so we can move on another page without any signings, thus making this the worse transfer thread EVER!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

^^ The Mirror has him talking with the club. Their poll shows 83% of the partakers would like him back. I'm one of them.

Yeah, but look what happened last time we allowed northerners to vote in a poll.TANGODANCER wrote:^^ The Mirror has him talking with the club. Their poll shows 83% of the partakers would like him back. I'm one of them.

He can't presumably sign in a playing capacity until the embargo goes. Guess we could sign him on as a coach then register him as a player later.

The line about a possibility of "one in one out" is a bit frightening given the size of our squad....Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Ken's meeting the FL today hoping to lift this old embargo thing (per BN).
Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru
With the quality of some of the current squad and inflated wages i would gladly take a "one in two out"BWFC_Insane wrote:The line about a possibility of "one in one out" is a bit frightening given the size of our squad....Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Ken's meeting the FL today hoping to lift this old embargo thing (per BN).

Marc Iles tweeted that he does not expect a decision today or a statement from club.

I suspect today is a meeting to agree what paperwork the club must produce that would satisfy the FL enough to get the embargo lifted.malcd1 wrote:Marc Iles tweeted that he does not expect a decision today or a statement from club.
Then it is a question of producing the assurances they ask for.
