I'd have taken 1-1 at the start but it's a kick in the teeth that we couldn't hang on.
I wait for pessimistic Peter to turn up and say they deserved boos.
Good point.

Possibly ref may have to explain some of his actions/inactions. Still top of the shop but those two points would have made a nice cushion.
Thanks TD.

It's a fine result even considering the late equaliser. The injuries are beginning to be a real problem though.
With the restrictions we have in place our squad is likely to be left severely understrength.
Parky, Ken and Lee will have to work some sort of black magic the next couple of days.

I'll take a point. Another midfielder injured is the real issue. Surely they will have to ease up on the 23 man squad rule and let us bring one in?

considering our recent record at charlton - it's a good point..
but...
it really didn't sound like we were in much trouble... until they scored!

Great point, still 2 points clear with two home games to come....fantastic start.
We need 2 or 3 bodies in though this week as injuries are mounting

Sounded like we weren't really getting out much though and that is always risky. Previous weeks, I'd not say we've been lucky, but there has been the odd moment when it could have been different, side netting against Bristol and Fleetwood easily could have scored with virtually the last kick of the game.thebish wrote:considering our recent record at charlton - it's a good point..

Today was our toughest match and a draw a very good result. The only issue is injuries and seemingly the numbers restriction. If that was sorted I'd be very confident. But we are down to bare bones already.

losing pratley and mavis - our big earners - probably long-term - is a cruel blow... no only do we have to soak up half our budget in them - but they can't play...

Overall acceptable, a same ... & we also seem to lose a player a week. A bad year to do that with loan rules being much stricter.
But a team with a bit of fight. Who'da thought ?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Aye, point isn't too bad, even with the kicker of a late equaliser. Injuries are not looking good though.

Likes of Clough, Clayton, Mark Davies to me are just always an injury waiting to happen. Seems harsh I know but everyone used to mock Darren Anderton but we seem to be carrying three.bobo the clown wrote:Overall acceptable, a same ... & we also seem to lose a player a week. Of course some of it is just pure bad luck, but I also think that when you have a serious injury at a point in your career sometimes you are just never fully right. Davies and Clayton fit there.
Clough possibly needs some conditioning.
The trouble is we are carrying them in a squad where we can supposedly only have 23 registered professionals. Which leaves us somewhat short.......
Re: Mean time, in Greenwich. Charlton away thread. 27-Aug. 2
I would have taken a point before the game today, so pleased with the result, although i was hoping they would hold on for the 3....but as others have said above, think we have had an injury every game, which is a bit worrying

That would be his career over wouldn't it? He surely cant come back from another long term injury? We sure as hell cant afford to be paying him on the sidelines. Dreadful luck all round. On a day when we took such a great point tooofficer_dibble wrote:Find out tomorrow but I wouldn't bet against with his past record.twilight wrote:Is Mavies out for the Season? sounds like its a cruciate....hope not

If his contracts up in the summer and he is out for theseason its probably worth paying him off to free up a squad place...
