Marc Iles tweeted: Parkinson confirms @A1F1E9 gave up a "significant" chunk of money to sign for #bwfc - "He just wanted to come to Bolton, nowhere else."

He probably just did it to stop the Bolton fans from pestering him to sign!TKIZ! wrote:Marc Iles tweeted: Parkinson confirms @A1F1E9 gave up a "significant" chunk of money to sign for #bwfc - "He just wanted to come to Bolton, nowhere else."

Or the fact he wants to live up north and the other clubs were down south.
He'll be paying* much less on the commute to work! So the bonus is irrelevant.
*Yes I understand how much these guys are on and yes this was a little tongue in cheek.

Never heard of him but according to wiki he's played a lot of football at this level and all across the back 4. Moved about a lot. Could be a good deal for both partiesPeter Thompson wrote:Decent player, good signing IMO

Very good signing, wanted by better teams than us last summer. Lord knows why he was on a free transfer but we'll have him.
Hopefully fit enough to go into saturdays team.
Edit
Been busy with orher stuff by the looks of it:

When he was 21, Wabara founded Manière De Voir. The online store launched in December 2013 and initially featured only menswear. Womenswear followed the year after, and in 2016 Manière De Voir began selling unisex accessories. Wabara later said that his ownership of the company hindered his football prospects, claiming that clubs wouldn't pay him what he thought he deserved because they knew that he had other income.[63][64][65][66]

That's next season's shirt sponsor sorted then. Personally, I wouldn't be seen dead in anything other than MDV.officer_dibble wrote:Very good signing, wanted by better teams than us last summer. Lord knows why he was on a free transfer but we'll have him.

Jem Karacan in on trial. 28yo ex-Reading midfielder "in the Spearing mound".

Re: Hanging on, January Transfer Window thread 2017
If Spearings out for the season he wants signing, not a trial. Who else can we get? We've been shite since the turn of the year and it can pretty much be pointed at how disjointed the squad has been with all the outs and the late signing of the ins. Its one thing titting about in August when there are 30 odd games to play but the immaturity and frankly staggering attitude of our owners in falling out and not sorting this embargo is in danger of costing us big time. The injuries we are suffering being the final nail in the coffin.
