I was very excited we when we got him here because I have seen him before and was a really fantastic player. Now I know why he couldn't get much of a game over the past year and ended up in L2. The Maverick.

Clearly there are other unfortunate issues that has affected him hence the deterioration of his game. I really do hope he gets the support and help needed to get through this and the other challenges he faces in the future. Mental Health is no joke issue as we at Bolton know from past experiences of some of our players.
Couldn't agree more with this and the above comments.
Nice quote from Shazza in MEN:
Chairman Sharon Brittan added: “Having spent some time with Marcus over the past couple of weeks, it became clear that he was in need of some additional support.
Marcus is a lovely man who I really warmed to and we will ensure that he gets the correct support he needs.
Although his time with the club was relatively short, he will always remain in the Bolton Family.”

What a breath of fresh air she continues to be (esp after that prior putrid prick).

C'mon Wanderers, do Salford over for Marcus :D

Good luck to MM and every credit to both Brittan and Evatt for the decent way it's been dealt with.

Lad needed love. No family here, nothing to do, no fans.

Best all round.

Good luck to him.

Clearly a mental health issue. And all credit to the club for acting superbly and I hope Marcus feels better soon and refinds his love of football which he says he has lost.

He looked like a lad who had a lot in his head and fair play that he tried and the club have done the right thing by him.

Ian Evatt and especially Sharon Brittan acting like real class acts. And frankly if anyone deserves to enjoy promotion it’s Sharon.

Too many knobheads on Twitter piping off, I hope he's got his mentions muted.

Shame it didn't work out but that poor lad at Yeovil shows that this stuff affects everyone. Good luck to him.

Cos he seems cocky and wears bright boots and a headband he can’t be mentally struggling innit....

Takes guts to do what he’s done and say what he has. More power to him.

Good luck to him. I hope he finds happiness, whether that's within football or without.

It feels like the right decision handled in the right manner.

BEN look to be suggesting earliest Sarce back would be Morcambe. So whilst it could be a "ruse", not looking hopeful for tomorrow night.

Yeah I’d be amazed if he suddenly appeared tonight. Given the injury if he plays at all again this season that’s a bonus. But he’s not even featured on a bench yet.

Assuming he's fit enough before the season ends, I would expect him to make his first appearance from the bench. Firstly, it would give him a half-hour runout rather than dropping him straight back in; secondly, every single player in the front six would know that at least one of them will be coming off, and that sort of thing tends to focus a player.

Wonder how far Politic is off from recovery?

Last I heard it was going well.

Evatt presser quotes, per official Twitter:
It's an important four weeks coming up. It’ll be a difficult game against Salford, but it is one we’re very much looking forward to though. We know what we’ve got to do between now and the end of the season, and fortunately it’s firmly in our hands and we’re in control of our own destiny.

First and foremost, we’ve got to go to Salford and perform as well as we can. They're unbeaten at home all season so it’s going to be a tough game. They are still trying to get into that top seven and rightly so with the money they’ve spent and the players they have. I think it will be a good game.

We have to take each game as it comes on merit and pick a team accordingly. The players know their roles well now and are in a confident frame of mind. We can analyse and prepare all we want but Harrogate to be fair came and had a real go at us and when things like that happen, the players have got to find solutions on the pitch themselves. They managed to do that on Saturday.

The pleasing thing for me is that we’re only going to improve and get better. We’re doing well to find solutions for the different ways that teams play against us.

Antoni Sarcevic has come through another good session with the physios and the rehab team today [Monday] and is progressing very well.

Risky to leave it till matchtime to find out. For safety's sake, you could carry out a reccy this afternoon.

The team somewhat picks itself. Gilks, the back four, two holding (MJ and Thomasson) Lee (Attacking Mid), Isgrove and Doyle. The position up for grabs in my opinion is the left of the three behind Doyle: Dapo, Delf, King Arthur or Zack (for his counter pace) who I would possibly give the nod. Lets see.

We have a good defence as proven by performance. Keep em out and get two goals and we can sail into Grimsby ( horrible name) on Saturday with aplomb. Been to Hull a few times, but never Grimsby. So...COME ON YOU WHITES... :oyea: :oyea:
