Fan-bloody-tastic! I'm welling up with pride.

I wouldn't be so bothered if this was it and he gets nothing more than a 10 minutes stint in this match, at least he's finally been given formal recognition as one of the finest English strikers out there! Well done SKD, and about bloody time!!!!

Cahill: he'll be back. I'm guessing it's in part due to the fact he's been out for 2 of the last three due to suspension.
Everything but the game: Because it's not just a game, it's a way of life.

Terrific. If anybody deserves a chance at an England shirt it's KD. Great news....at last. Just give him that cap.

Think Atwell has cost Cahill his place in the squad, Ferdinand was always going to come back in Warnock & Lescott luckily getting the nod over Gazza.

As for SKD, can't tell you how proud I am of this, long over due in my book. Not wishing to name names but Heskey having had 62 chances the bulk of them post 2005 when SKD has been in his pomp & Heskey in decline, is a scandal Did'nt think it would happen, now just want to see him wearing the 3 lions on the pitch & if he bags a goal / assist. Methinks I'll be celebrating, oh yes.
If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England

To be fair to Heskey, and what I've seen of him lately, his headed goal against Wolves was absolutely text-book, and his tenacity in setting Albrighton up at Spuds was real first class stuff.

Bursting with pride here. Can't wait for the London footertainment fans (by which I mean Arsenal and West Ham fans, the only people to have a problem with him) to come here and declare it the death of English football.

I know it's not exactly 'form' but for the last 3 games, Heskey has looked outstanding... Davies is only there because emile said No.

I hope Davo gets a chance though.. i'd love to see him getting on the end of some of the quality crosses that an international side can produce.

Rooney will love playing alongside him given a chance

I hope he accidentally knocks Wayne out in training if I'm honest. For no ther reason than his rags connection. And maybe give Terry a dig.

In fact, they'll all 'learn' a thing or two off Kev. Hopefully.

I am sooo soooo happy about this. There has never been a guy who deserved this reward more in terms of professionalism to the cause.

Fantastic news for SKD and BWFC. Also I reckon he could do a great job for England. There will not be many international defenders who enjoy playing against him, and he will certainly create opportunities for those around him.

Some of the 'fans' on 606 have written like this is the tolling of the bell for the apocalypse!

Some 'fans' have wished him well. Me I'm pleased as punch for him and will definitely be watching the game in my Wanderers shirt now
Pfffft.

The relationship may have soured a bit after Davies 'welcomed' Wilshere back to the Reebok last month.

And would any of you now consider getting an England kit with Davies printed on the back? 8)

One step ahead! Just waiting to see that shirt number, I wonder if he gets to choose like all the others do? Somehow DAVIES 15 or DAVIES 17 just don't seem right

(just checked who we have coming up to see who SKD could concentrate on in training - turns out our next three are Stoke, Wigan and Liverpool. 9 fookin points there!)
