Why is one exempt and not the other?

Well, CYL doesn't have a high school diploma which makes him ineligible for the army.
ManU's Park and the rest of the Korean 2002 World Cup squad received exemptions for reaching the semis.
This Park could have been exempt if they had won the gold at the last Asian Games but they only managed a bronze so no exemption for him.

But on the basis of having two players fighting out for a place, surely a midfield squad of Holden, Muamba, Davies (M) and O'Hara is better than we currently have by a factor of one?Tombwfc wrote:Wasn't it widely said around here before that O'Hara wasn't an option because he wouldn't move north of London? Now it's that he won't move north of Wolverhampton? On what basis is this all being calculated.
In any case, he's not that good and we've two similar players who are both better.
Interested as to how often LL watches Monaco...

Seen Monaco play nine times this season, is that OK pal?
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
If they are all happy with that arrangement, then yes it would be.Lord Kangana wrote:But on the basis of having two players fighting out for a place, surely a midfield squad of Holden, Muamba, Davies (M) and O'Hara is better than we currently have by a factor of one?Tombwfc wrote:Wasn't it widely said around here before that O'Hara wasn't an option because he wouldn't move north of London? O'Hara himself said he didn't want to go to far north. His family and missus all live in Lahdon
Pfffft.
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Where? When? Where on the map has he drawn this boundary?
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Exactly. Wolverhampton to London is not by any meaningful stretch quicker than Manchester to London, so it's seems bull.

I would call it halfway myself. Thats reasonably meaningful, half, I would have thought.

If you are bothered about speed and quick access it'd be the train shirley? 1h55 vs 2h20.
That said I hadn't factored in that footballers probably don't 'do' trains.

And he's only on loan there. Easy to do short cotracts away from home if you know they'll end.
I have no idea whether he's said he'd not come up north or not, but him being at Wolves for a season isn't exactly at odds with that position.

He's already said he wants to sign for Wolves permanently, and is moving there.

That article is 2 months old. Has he signed yet?

And if they go down?
IF we offered him money and first team football he'd come here I reckon.

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
What's either of those things got to do with what you said? He's obviously not going to sign for anyone until the end of the season (when he knows what division they'll be in).Lord Kangana wrote:That article is 2 months old. Has he signed yet?
You suggested that he could've just moved North to Wolves thinking he'll make do in the short term. I'd say him saying that'd he'd like to sign for them permanently, him moving up there, and him saying he won't go back to Tottenham all suggest otherwise. As he also said, he could've stayed at home in London, taken his wage off Spurs and had tons of free time to spend with his wife and young family. He chose to move up North and play football.

Not deserving of a new thread, 'Al-Habsi signs for Arsenal'?

Nope, only because he hasn't and it's on Sky, the rumour not the thread
